Zamaz shuffles the boardroom pack to bring in biggest shareholder; COO moves to CEO role

Zamaz PLC (LSE:ZAMZ) said chairman Martin Groak and Daniele Besnati were reconfirmed as directors of the company at the recent annual meeting with the latter stepping up from chief operating officer to chief executive.

In addition, Dominic White, the company's largest shareholder, has been named as a non-executive director of the retail and e-commerce group.

He will take over as chairman of the nominations committee and joins the remuneration and disclosure committees. He will take the chair of the latter.

Former astrophysicist turned corporate financier, Dr Niccolo Caderni, has become an independent director.

In terms of senior management changes, Elena Schiavio has been appointed as chief financial officer, taking over from Jean-Christophe Agnésina.

Commenting on the changes, chairman Groak said: "I am delighted to welcome Dominic and Niccolo to the board.

“Their experience of global capital markets, fund management and the financing and management of innovation and creativity will be of great value to Zamaz as the business expands internationally.

"I am also very pleased to welcome Elena to our senior management team as chief financial officer.

“Her extensive financial and operational experience will be of great value as we build on Jean-Christophe's excellent groundwork."
