Barryroe Offshore confirms appointment of two key members of its executive team ahead of appraisal work

Irish energy firm Barryroe Offshore Energy PLC (AIM:BEY) said it has appointed interim chief executive Alan Curran to the role permanently.

In addition, Colin Christie has been selected as the company's new chief financial officer after joining the business in November as a finance advisor.

The confirmation of Curran and Christie's appointments comes as Simon Brett, the current CFO, prepares to step down at the end of this month.

During the transition period, Brett and Christie will work closely together to ensure a smooth transfer of responsibilities.

The executive changes come after the firm secured a €40 million convertible loan note in November 2022 to fund its appraisal programme, pending ministerial approval.

The move will be seen as a signal of the company's commitment to unlocking the full potential of the Barryroe Field in Ireland’s Celtic Sea.
