Polymetals Resources appoints experienced executive as company secretary and chief financial officer

Polymetals Resources Ltd (ASX:POL) has enhanced its corporate and financial capabilities with the appointment of John Haley as company secretary and chief financial officer (CFO), effective from today.

Haley is an accountant and former Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants with more than 40 years of experience, specifically providing taxation advice to clients in the Australian mining industry.

Appropriate experience

His experience includes about 20 years as a director/CFO and company secretary of junior mining companies in Australia and Canada.

He was a founding director of three ASX-listed companies, Metallica Minerals Limited (ASX:MLM), MetroCoal Limited and Cape Alumina Limited (ASX:AWC) (the latter two subsequently merged to form Metro Mining Limited.

Haley currently acts as the company secretary and CFO for New Peak Metals Limited and Clara Resources Australia Ltd.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Queensland, as well as a Marketing Diploma from the Queensland University of Technology.

Communication responsibility

As company secretary, Haley is responsible for communication with the ASX in relation to ASX Listing Rule matters.

The appointee replaces Kurt Laney and Vince Fayad, who have resigned as joint company secretaries and CFO, effective from January 31, 2023.

The POL board thanks Laney and Fayad for their diligent and professional services to the company and wishes them all the best in their future endeavours.

Change of address

As part of Polymetals’ plans to internalise operating processes, the company has changed its registered office and principal place of business.

The new address is - Unit 1, 101 Main Street, Alstonville, NSW, 2477.
