Fireweed Metals Corp (TSX-V:FWZ, OTCQB:FWEDF) has announced further results from the 2022 drill program at its 100%-owned Macmillan Pass zinc-lead-silver project in Canada's Yukon Territory, with step-out drill hole NB22-006 at Boundary Main intersecting 12.5 metres (m) of 11.2% zinc, including 6.2m of 15.8% zinc.
The mineral exploration company said copper-zinc mineralization was intersected in NB22-006, grading 0.5% copper and 2.3% zinc over 10.5m.
“Drilling continues to extend the Boundary Zones with high-grade step-out drill results, including the discovery of a new stratiform zone,” Fireweed Metals CEO Brandon Macdonald said in a statement.

“Many additional 2022 drill results are pending and we have started planning the biggest drill program in the history of the project for 2023,” Macdonald added.
Fireweed noted the zones remain open along trend and to depth for further extension, and the pending assay results are from 24 additional drill holes at Boundary and Tom Zones.
As well, the company said a new laminated zone in hole NB22-008 returned 14.6% zinc, 1.5% lead, and 28.8 grams per tonne (g/t) silver over 2.7m.
