RA International Group PLC (AIM:RAI) saw its shares start some 23% higher in Monday’s early deals after it announced new contract awards worth around £10mln.
The remote site services contractor, in a statement, said it has been hired by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office for construction and refurbishment services at the British High Commission in Botswana. It is a £3.3mln contract which is expected to be completed during 2023.
Separately, it was awarded three task orders for work at US Navy's base on the Diego Garcia atoll in the Indian Ocean, via its joint venture with American firm ECC. The contracts are said to be worth US$8.2mln and are expected to establish ‘a platform for future awards’.
"We are delighted to be announcing these contract awards which highlight our position as a trusted, global partner with western government clients, alongside the strength of our offering combining comprehensive, flexible, mission-critical support to our clients," said RA International chief executive Soraya Narfeldt in the statement.
In London, RA International shares were up 2.75p or 23.9% in early deals changing hands at 14.25p which values the small-cap at around £24.75mln.
