Cauldron Energy Ltd (ASX:CXU) has appointed PAC Partners Securities Pty Ltd as exclusive adviser to undertake a strategic review of its Blackwood Gold Project and transactional opportunities that may arise to maximise the return on the project.
The review will assess options for the Blackwood Gold Project in light of the current market, capital landscapes and the significant interest that currently exists for gold assets in Victoria.
With the project’s enviable geographic location, significant history of prior production and exploration potential, Cauldron believes the Blackwood Gold Project could be of significant interest to a party focusing on the Victorian gold space.
Focus on uranium and sand projects
Cauldron chief executive officer Jonathan Fisher said: “The appointment of PAC Partners follows previous communications to the market where Cauldron has indicated that it would focus on its uranium and sand projects and look to maximise the return for shareholders from the Blackwood Gold Project.
“I personally have been undertaking a review of the Blackwood Gold Project since my appointment in December 2022 and I am of the view that this is the correct strategic direction for Cauldron; which will enable us to dedicate any such transaction proceeds towards our areas of strategic focus.
“We look forward to working with PAC Partners who have considerable experience in gold and with Victorian gold assets.”
Yanrey Uranium Project
Cauldron recently raised $2.268 million to advance its Yanrey Uranium Project in Western Australia.
Looking ahead, Cauldron will concentrate on executing a strategy focused around Yanrey, which is host to the Bennet Well Uranium Deposit, the fifth largest undeveloped uranium deposit in Western Australia, amenable to ISR leaching.
