Quantum eMotion Corp (TSX-V:QNC, OTCQB:QNCCF) has announced the launch of Sentry-Q, a quantum-safe messenger platform.
"[Sentry-Q is] designed for the secure communication of large and complex messages, including entire database structures,’ CEO Francis Bellido said in a statement. “After the completion of our quantum random number generator last year, we realized that to maximize the value of this game-changing technology we needed to develop complete cybersecurity solutions based on truly random numbers.”
Sentry-Q has the potential to perform as a cloud-based solution or as a physical hardware device, Bellido said, calling it “versatile and flexible enough to be used in a multitude of applications, as a whole or in part."

The Sentry-Q platform itself is comprised of three cybersecurity modules: QRNG2, QeM’s random number generator; QXCP, the company’s cryptographic platform; and QGPS, its push server platform.
Each has unique advantages as a cybersecurity weapon, according to chief technology officer Larry Moore.
QRNG2, exploits the inherent randomness of quantum mechanics to generate truly random numbers that are impossible to predict, much more so than the pseudo-random numbers created by traditional algorithms, Moore said. This is especially useful for generating cryptographic keys, which are used to encrypt and decrypt sensitive data.
QXCP is a cryptographic platform agile and extensible enough to defend against a wide range of attack vectors. This includes what are called "man-in-the-middle" attacks, in which an attacker puts themselves between two parties in conversation and relays messages between them. All told, the QXCP platform includes the strongest encryption systems that exist to date, the company said.
QGPS is capable of sending messages larger than one gigabyte as push notifications to clients, even when the client is not active. This enables multi-part transmissions for fast communication while users are independent from user interface and client operating Systems.
"Sentry-Q will initially function as a cloud-based solution and will be progressively applied and evolved with hardware-based modules, such as PCI Express cards, mini-HSM (hardware security module) devices and embedded processors,” Bellido said. “We expect that Sentry-Q will position QeM as a significant player in the quantum-safe cybersecurity space.”
The launch of Sentry-Q in Montreal comes shortly after the Quebec government announced the availability of the world's fifth quantum supercomputer, based on the 127-qubit Quantum System One architecture developed by IBM and operated by PINQ, for the second half of 2023.
