Shares in Senior PLC (LSE:SNR) jumped some 10% in Tuesday’s early deals in London after the aerospace and defense components maker told investors that it expects results for 2022 will beat expectations.
The company, in a statement, said it is expecting to show adjusted profit before tax for the 12 months ended 31 December 2022 above "top-end" market-consensus expectations, when its results are released on 27 February 2023.
Key drivers of the strong performance were said to Senior’s Flexonics and Aerospace divisions, each of which exceeded expectations amidst strong customer demand in the land vehicle, power and energy markets.
Specifically, it noted a surge in demand for heavy-duty trucks as well as an increase in maintenance and overhaul-related business in the power and energy sectors.
In London, Senior shares rose by 13p or 9.65% in Tuesday morning’s trading.
