Gaming Realms PLC (AIM:GMR, OTCQX:PSDMF) said it will create a Tetris version of its Slingo mobile game, with a launch to online casino clients expected before the end of the calendar year.
The mobile gaming company, which provides digital content to the likes of SkyBet, DraftKings, Ladbrokes owner Entain, William Hill owner 888 and Rank, told investors it had signed a brand licensing agreement with The Tetris Company.
Tetris Slingo will employ the well-known 'tetrimino' shapes to extend the Slingo franchise, which also includes Slingo Monopoly and Slingo Rainbow Riches.
Combining the mechanic of the core Slingo game, where players spin a slot reel to try and match numbers in a line on a five-by-five grid, with the Tetris tetromino shapes “will present one of the most exciting game collaborations to date”, the AIM-listed company said.
Craig Falciglia, Gaming Realms' business development director, said the combination is “a truly exciting proposition”, noting that Tetris “has enjoyed huge global appeal since it first launched in the 1980s”, with the collaboration creating a new Slingo format, “which we will be taking to both current and new player audiences”.
