The FTSE 100 has slipped back to where it was last Thursday this morning, erasing this weeks’ gains. The index is being dragged down by developments in the US, where poor retail sales have revived fears of recession.
Deliveroo announced this morning that it expects its full-year earnings to beat its previous guidance, offsetting off a 2% fall in actual order numbers with higher item prices.
Royal Mail says its restarted overseas parcel exports after suffering what it described as a ‘cyber-attack.’ Shoe manufacturer Dr Martens has cut its revenue and underlying earnings forecasts for the full year.
The company is blaming a bottleneck at its new Los Angeles distribution centre and weaker-than-anticipated US trading.
