Great Atlantic Resources Corp (TSX-V:GR) has revealed new analytical results for rock samples collected last year at its Golden Promise gold property that highlight the prospectivity of the early-stage exploration project.
The results identified a new target area containing 1.83 grams per ton (g/t) gold in quartz from a boulder sample at the central Newfoundland property.
Great Atlantic located the boulder during a 2022 reconnaissance prospecting and rock geochemical sampling program, after previously identifying gold soil anomalies and a boulder anomalous for gold in 2020.

The new target area is located within the northern region of the property, nearly two kilometres west of the western part of the Jaclyn Zone that hosts multiple gold-bearing veins and vein systems, the company said in a statement.
Great Atlantic said it is planning additional work during the 2023 field season within the target area. The program will consist of additional prospecting and rock-soil geochemical sampling to further define this target and define trenching targets.
