Wincanton PLC (LSE:WIN) said it has bagged a three-year contract expansion with furniture retailer DFS to provide home deliveries across the UK.
The announcement from the logistics company builds on its existing partnership with DFS’s Dwell furniture brand, where it provides ‘white glove’ two-person home deliveries.
Services under the expanded contract relate to the delivery of a broader range of products from DFS’s home category.
Wincanton said it will “oversee end-to-end management of all customer orders from suppliers to the point of delivery and return, ensuring a seamless customer experience and helping to support DFS’s eCommerce growth strategy.”
“This contract is testament to the important role Wincanton plays as a trusted, long-term partner, helping support the growth of businesses such as The DFS Group,” said Carl Moore, managing director of eFulfilment at Wincanton in a statement.
“Deploying Wincanton’s tried and tested supply chain solutions alongside our Premium Home Delivery service will further strengthen DFS’s offering, supporting the great customer delivery experience," he added.
