SRJ Technologies Group PLC (ASX:SRJ) has made some board changes effective today, with the resignation of Grant Mooney as a non-executive director and the appointment of Roger Smith in the capacity of executive director.
Valued contribution
Mooney has been a non-executive director of SRJ since June 2, 2020. He served as chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee and a member of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee since the inception of both committees.
On behalf of the board, chair Rob Pinchbeck extended his gratitude to Mooney for his valued contribution to SRJ and wished him well for the future.
Smith was welcomed onto the board as an executive director with immediate effect. He is SRJ’s managing director of UK, Europe and Middle East and a senior member of the executive management team.
Prior to this, Smith had been the non-executive chairman of SRJ for four years.
35-year career in oil and gas
Smith joined SRJ with more than 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having served as a senior vice president of Petrofac Plc and as a non-executive director of Haydale Graphene Industries plc.
He has also held the post of commercial director with Bureau Veritas.
Pinchbeck applauded the significant experience that Smith will bring to the role and welcomed him to the board.
