Brookside Energy Ltd (ASX:BRK) has started the re-entry of Juanita Well in the expanded Bradbury Area of Interest (AOI) within the Arbuckle Uplift–Ardmore Basin in Oklahoma’s world-class Anadarko Basin.
Dan D Drilling Rig 7 is now drilling at approximately 3,500 feet with plans to drill the vertical well to a true vertical depth (TPD) of around 6,450 feet.
This progress follows the mobilization of the drilling rig with the rig set-up and tested prior to the start of drilling.

“It is exciting to be back drilling again in this new AOI and we are very much looking forward to bringing news to our shareholders as we move forward with operations and get the opportunity to look at the numerous potential reservoirs we expect to intersect on our way to target depth.”
Juanita operations
Brookside, its US operating subsidiary Black Mesa, LLC and Dan D Drilling will continue drilling to the target depth and will log the 10 potential reservoirs.

This well was temporarily suspended at the end of November 2022 after encountering an over-pressured zone in the sandstones of the Springer Group at around 3,500 feet true vertical depth (TVD).
The Dan Drilling Rig 7 was identified by the team from Black Mesa as meeting the requirements to operate in the encountered pressure regime following the temporary suspension of drilling operations.
In proven area
Juanita is targeting 10 potential oil reservoirs, including zones from within the highly productive Simpson Group, all of which are proven producers in the area.
Mean cumulative production from vertical wells in the Bradbury AOI is around 130 MBO per well, including a 744 MBO producer less than a mile east of the Juanita Well location.
