NorthWest Copper stock climbs on copper-gold drill results plus more daily small cap movers

A long, high-grade copper-gold interval sparked shares of NorthWest Copper Corp Monday plus other big percentage movers on news from the small and micro cap space

4:05pm: Excelsior Mining, Gama Explorations (CSE:GAMA) shares add to gains late day

NorthWest Copper closed up 17% at $0.245, while Excelsior Mining rose 15% to $0.23, Gama Explorations finished 25% higher to $0.74, and Transition Metals ended up 20% at $0.09.

11:30am: NorthWest Copper, Transition Metals shares make big gains

NorthWest Copper Corp (TSX-V:NWST) shares jumped 29% to $0.27 on Monday after the copper-gold explorer and developer told investors it returned one of the longest and highest-grade copper-gold intervals (399.8 metres of 1.01% copper equivalent) ever completed at its Kwanika deposit in British Columbia.

As well, shares of Excelsior Mining Corp. (TSX:MIN) gained 13% to $0.225 as the mineral exploration and production company said it has entered into a collaboration agreement with Nuton LLC, a Rio Tinto venture, to evaluate the use of its Nuton copper heap leaching technologies at Excelsior's Johnson Camp mine in Arizona.

Gama Explorations (CSE:GAMA) Inc, meanwhile, reported that it has entered into a binding letter of intent for an option to acquire a 100% interest in the Muskox Lithium Property in Canada’s Northwest Territories. Gama Explorations (CSE:GAMA) stock popped 22% to $0.72 following the announcement.

And, Transition Metals Corp (TSX-V:XTM) shares rose 27% to $0.095 on Monday after the multi-commodity project generator revealed that it is “very encouraged” by results from a shallow reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the ERT Zone of its Pike Warden gold-silver-copper property southwest of Whitehorse in the Yukon.
