Empire Metals ups pace of exploration at Western Australia projects

Empire Metals Ltd (AIM:EEE) said fieldwork at the Pitfield copper project so far this year had gone well while drilling has restarted at Eclipse-Gindalbie, also in Western Australia.

Further soil sampling and DD-IP (induced polarisation) surveying at Pitfield is expected this quarter to define drill targets.

At Eclipse-Gindalbie a small reverse circulation drilling campaign started on 3 January and targeted a new area around the historical South Gippsland #3 mine.

Shaun Bunn, managing director, added: "Great progress has been made on our two main exploration camps at Pitfield and Eclipse-Gindalbie over recent weeks.

“What is particularly exciting is that we have found a way to speed up our field activities at Pitfield, having been able to contract an IP surveying team that could mobilise to site in mid-December, well ahead of our previously announced exploration schedule.”
