Collective Mining stock climbs on gold drill results plus more daily small cap movers

Gold equivalent assays attracted some speculators to shares of Collective Mining Ltd Wednesday plus other big percentage movers on news from the small and micro cap space

4:05pm: Collective Mining (TSX-V:CNL) shares add to gains late afternoon

Collective Mining closed up 13% at $3.04, while Surge Copper rose 11% to $0.15, MedMira stock finished 6% higher to $0.085, and Nextleaf Solutions ended up 9% at $0.06.

12:55pm: Collective Mining (TSX-V:CNL), Surge Copper shares shine

Collective Mining (TSX-V:CNL) Ltd (TSXV:CNL) shares jumped 10% to $2.98 on Wednesday after the gold junior announced assay results from two step-out holes and one shallow hole drilled into the Main Breccia discovery from the Apollo target at the Guayabales project in Colombia, which included 47.3 metres (m) of 5.5 grams per tonne (g/t) gold equivalent as well as 426m of 1.51 g/t gold equivalent.

As well, shares of Surge Copper Corp (TSXV:SURG) continued to move higher Wednesday, up 15% to $0.155 with a 19% gain since Monday, as the exploration company revealed complete assay results for three holes from its 100% owned Ootsa property in British Columbia, saying it has identified new copper-gold porphyry potential 300m northeast of the East Seel deposit with an intersection that included 100m grading 0.42% copper equivalent.

MedMira Inc (TSXV:MIR), meanwhile, reported that it has received the CE mark for its VYRA CoV2Flu Antigen Test (VYRA CoV2Flu), the fastest combination antigen test available to detect SARS-CoV-2, Flu A and Flu B.

The company noted that its VYRA CoV2Flu is now available in Europe and any countries accepting the CE mark. MedMira stock moved up 13% to $0.09 following the announcement.

And, Nextleaf Solutions Ltd (CSE:OILS, OTCQB:OILFF) shares rose 18% to $0.065 on Wednesday after the company announced that it has sent out its first international shipment of cannabis vape products.
