Rolls-Royce Motor Cars races to record 2022

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars achieved its highest-ever annual sales in 2022, breaking the 6,000 vehicles sold mark for the first time in its 118-year history.

Some 6,021 cars were delivered in total to 50 clients globally, representing an 8% increase over 2021, a statement said.

“2022 has been a momentous year for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars,” said chief executive Torsten Müller-Ötvös.

“Not only did we reveal Rolls‑Royce Spectre, our marque’s first ever fully-electric series model to the world, it was also the first year we ever delivered more than 6,000 cars in a single 12-month period, with strong demand across our entire product portfolio”

Rolls-Royce said it achieved sales growth in almost all regions, with year-on-year growth in the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, the USA and Europe.

Despite geopolitical challenges, Europe saw growth with record sales in the UK and Germany.

According to the luxury car manufacturer, it was able to grow the value of bespoke commissions to record levels, resulting in its clients being willing to pay around €500,000 for a unique vehicle.

The Middle East remains the leader for bespoke commissions, while the US is its largest single region.

Demand remains strong, with advance orders secured into next year, Rolls-Royce said.
