Kromek Group PLC (AIM:KMK) has secured a repeat order from a US government customer worth US$800,000 for its D3S ID wearable nuclear radiation detector.
D3S ID is designed to detect radiological threats and can recognise isotopes and neutrons within seconds.
A wearable radiation isotope identifier, D3S ID is pocket-sized, small, and light enough to be wearable and congeable, the radiation and bio-detection technologycompany said in a statement.
It said D3S ID is designed for first responders, armed forces, border security and other chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear experts.
"This repeat order affirms the importance of our nuclear radiation detection technology and the strength of our relationship with our US governmental customers,” said Kromek chief executive Arnab Basu.
“We are continuing to see heightened interest in our CBRN solutions, particularly from governments, and expect this momentum to be sustained given the ongoing challenges in the geopolitical environment."
