Gfinity PLC (AIM:GFIN) has announced that its 100%-owned Athlos Game Technologies platform will be integrated into Playgendary mobile games under a one-year rolling contract.
Playgendary is a global top-10 mobile game developer and publisher of games including Bowmasters, Tomb of the Mask and Kick the Buddy. Its games have more than three billion installs and 250mln players online every month.
Athlos will provide Playgendary with a competition platform leveraging the power of competitive gaming to deepen player engagement, to lower player churn, and increase average revenue per user.
Under the terms of the agreement, Athlos will be paid a monthly fee based on the number of active users, the leading esports and gaming-solutions provider said.
In a statement, Gfinity chairman Neville Upton commented: "We are delighted to join forces with the Playgendary team. Most gaming spend is now in-game and competitive players spend significantly more than casual gamers. This means our market-leading technology can deliver a significant and direct cash benefit to publishers".
The financial terms of the agreement are commercially sensitive and therefore will not be publicly disclosed at this time, the company said, and game titles will be announced when ready to be launched.
