Wishbone Gold PLC (AIM:WSBN, AQSE:WSBN) said it started a Magneto Tellurics (MT) survey on its Paterson, Western Australia properties to follow up on mineralisation intersected in maiden drilling on the Red Setter prospect.
Expert Geophysics will carry out the airborne survey over both Red Setter and another prospect, Cottesloe.
Once completed, data processing and inversions will take approximately six weeks to finalise and help identify drill targets for 2023.
MT uses passive airborne electromagnetic methods (AEM) that exploit the principles of naturally varying electromagnetic fields to identify mineralisation.
Richard Poulden, Wishbone Gold's chairman, said: "MT technology is an important next step in exploration at Red Setter to define more accurately the location of increased sulphide mineralisation.
“By using this technology the aim is to define the main trend and centre of the mineralisation system."
Earlier this month, Wishbone said initial wide-spaced drill holes at Red Setter intersected gold and copper mineralisation over a strike length of 2km.
