Oil & Gas

Brookside Energy observes extensive oil and gas shows in Wolf Pack Well

Brookside Energy Ltd (ASX:BRK) continues to notch up success in the SWISH Area of Interest (AOI) in the world-class Anadarko Basin of Oklahoma, with extensive oil and gas shows observed in the horizontal section of the Wolf Pack Well.

Drilling of the high-impact Wolf Pack 36-25-1S-4W SXH 2 Well, which is part of the company’s Phase Two development drilling program in the SWISH AOI, is continuing.

The rig is drilling ahead in the lateral(horizontal) section of the well at a measured depth of around 13,500 feet.

“Great to see shows”

Brookside managing director David Prentice said: “We are delighted with progress on the Wolf Pack Well to this point, with the team and rig performing very well.”

He said drilling operations were proceeding on schedule, safely and without incident with the team continuing to drill ahead in the horizontal section.

“While not unexpected, it is also great to see extensive oil and gas shows in mud logging as we traverse our selected bench in the Sycamore Formation,” Prentice added.

“We are looking forward to providing further updates as we reach target depth and prepare to run production casing.”

About Wolf Pack Well

Wolf Pack Well is operated by the company’s subsidiary Black Mesa Energy, LLC, and is being drilled by Latshaw Rig 12 in Stephens County, Oklahoma.

It is being drilled as a mid-length horizontal well targeting the Sycamore Formation at an average depth of ~9,750 feet.

The well will be drilled to a projected total measured depth of ~17,750 feet, with ~7,500 feet of lateral section drilled in the Sycamore that will subsequently be cased with production tubing to be perforated and treated to allow the production of oil and rich gas.
