4:05pm: OceanaGold, Ascot Resources shares add to gains late afternoon
Northern Shield Resources closed up 125% at $0.09, while OceanaGold gained 12% to $2.70, KULR Technology finished 6% higher to $1.43, and Ascot Resources ended up 7% at $0.46.
12:30pm: Northern Shield Resources, OceanaGold shares advance sharply
Northern Shield Resources Inc (TSXV:NRN) shares shot up 125% to $0.09 on Tuesday after the junior explorer announced that more visible gold has been identified at the Root & Cellar project in Newfoundland.
As well, shares of OceanaGold Corporation (TSX:OGC) rose 8% to $2.61 as the multinational gold producer revealed positive results from the 2022 resource conversion program at Wharekirauponga in New Zealand and Haile in the US, in addition to the resource growth program at Didipio in the Philippines.
KULR Technology Group Inc (NYSE American:KULR), meanwhile, reported that its CellCheck Battery Monitoring System is now running on the Azure cloud computing service by Microsoft. KULR Technology stock moved up 9% to $1.47 following the announcement.

And, Ascot Resources Ltd (TSX:AOT) shares continued to move higher Tuesday, up 4% to $0.445 following a 10% gain on Monday, after the Canadian junior exploration and development company announced that it has entered into non-binding letters of intent for a total of about C$200 million in project financing for construction of the Premier Gold Project in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle region.
