Kromek says awarded £1.5mln radiation detection contracts from Europe

Both contracts are to supply European government end-users

Kromek Group PLC (AIM:KMK) revealed that it has won two more contracts for its nuclear radiation detection products totalling £1.5mln,

Both contracts are to supply European government end-users with delivery and revenue to be received in the current financial year, it added.

Kromek will supply its D3M wearable device and its D3 static node along with the networking capability for these detectors, the company said. D3M is a hands-free device that continuously scans for radiation while DS3 is a small static unit designed for radiation monitoring in challenging environments and that provides real-time monitoring and early warning capability.

In a statement, Arnab Basu, Kromek’s chief executive, said: " As governments reconsider how they can best provide for the safety and security of their people in the face of current geopolitical tension, demand for our nuclear radiation detection technology continues to be strong."

"These orders, which have been secured via our new partners, further validate the strength of our offer," he added.

Earlier this month Kromek won a follow-on US$1.3mln contract for its nuclear detectors from a US customer.
