The US state of Michigan generated the largest year-over-year increase in legal cannabis sales, up 32%, out of the 15 states and Canadian provinces featured in the latest figures published by cannabis data firm Headset.
Michigan saw sales of US$201,358,805 in November 2022, with the top-selling brand being Kush Mints Smalls produced by Pro Gro.

British Columbia was second with 23% year-over-year cannabis sales growth, and C$58,628,177 in total November sales, while Alberta's 13.3% increase was good enough for third place with sales of C$66,845,502 last month, Massachusetts was #4 with an 8.6% increase and US$123,203,990 in total sales, and Saskatchewan finished fifth with an 8.1% yearly gain and C$15,168,839 in sales for November.
The four Canadian provinces featured fared better in terms sales growth than the US states mentioned, with only Ontario experiencing a 0.2% decline in year-over-year cannabis sales with C$148,080,305 in revenue generated for November.
As for the other jurisdictions: Arizona saw its sales fall 7.2% (US$146,855,167 in total for November); California cannabis sales declined 7.9% (US$400,412,299); Colorado experienced a 10.7% pull back (US$117,506,769); Florida saw sales rise 2.1% (US$147,908,192); Illinois produced a 3% gain (US$156,804,367); Maryland slipped 13.9% (US$37,712,736); Nevada cannabis sales edged up 0.4% (US$70,058,600); Oregon saw a 11.5% decline (US$76,550,534) and; Washington state cannabis revenue slid 9.4% (US$100,186,852).
