Games Workshop trading in line with expectations

Games Workshop Group PLC (LSE:GAW) confirmed trading since its last update in September has been in line with expectations.

As a result, the manufacturer of miniature wargames forecast half-year core revenue of not less than £210mln (2021: £191.5mln) and licensing revenue of c. £14mln (2021: £20.1mln).

Pre-tax profits are expected to be not less than £83mln, lower than last year’s £88.2mln.

Core operating profit is estimated at not less than £70mln, flat compared to last year, while licensing operating profits are expected of c. £13mln, down from last year’s £18.9mln.

The company also named John Brewis as non-executive chair with effect from 1 January 2023.

Brevis has been an independent non-executive director of the company since 2018.
