Phunware Inc (NASDAQ:PHUN) has announced that its Smart Hospitality Solution is being launched at Wailea Beach Resort - Marriott, Maui, which is part of the Marriott International, Inc portfolio of brands.
The enterprise cloud platform for mobile said its Smart Hospitality Solution will enhance the guest experience by providing access to features such as interactive and real-time mapping, wayfinding and indoor positioning across the property along with filterable points of interest (POI), as well as bookable experiences via The Hub, such as a variety of complimentary Hawaiian cultural activities, private dining reservations and more.
“Marriott is leading the way when it comes to tech-enabling guest experiences in a mobile-first world, so we are thrilled to partner with the forward-thinking team at Wailea Beach Resort to launch our Smart Hospitality Solution,” Phunware chief operating officer Randall Crowder said in a statement.

“By enabling guests to easily navigate every aspect of such an amazing property, we hope to ensure they have an opportunity to discover all of the amazing amenities Wailea Beach Resort has to offer,” Crowder added.
Phunware noted that by leveraging its Multiscreen-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform, Wailea Beach Resort also has the ability to extend the capabilities of its Smart Hospitality Solution in the future with additional integrations to support business systems such as on-demand ordering, concierge communication and loyalty programs.
Wailea Beach Resort spans 22 acres and is situated between two sandy beaches along Maui’s southern coastline with 547 residential-style rooms and suites, according to the company.
