Predictive Oncology Inc. (NASDAQ:POAI) has announced the appointment of Dr Matthew J Hawryluk to its board of directors in support of the company’s strategic initiatives and commercialization efforts.
With a PhD in cell biology and biochemistry from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business and a BSc from the University of Notre Dame, Dr Hawryluk currently serves as the executive vice president and chief business officer of Gristone bio Inc, Predictive Oncology noted.
Prior to this, he served as vice president of corporate and business development at public molecular information company Foundation Medicine Inc and in roles in business development, marketing and product management across multiple divisions of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.

The company noted that Dr Hawryluk has played key roles in bridging the gap between scientific discovery and the commercial application of scientific breakthroughs.
As a named inventor on multiple patents and co-author on several peer-reviewed publications, he brings an awareness and insight to Predictive Oncology that will be instrumental as the company moves forward with its growth plans, it said.
In a statement, Predictive Oncology CEO Raymond F Vennare commented: “Given his deep understanding of the biopharma landscape and his years of experience launching innovative platforms that have now been run on hundreds of thousands of patients with more than 20 FDA approvals, Matthew is both a logical and strategic addition to our board.”
