Lucky Minerals (TSX-V:LKY, OTC:LKMNF) Inc has announced further geological mapping, trenching and channel sampling results from the Wayka epithermal gold discovery at its 100%-owned Fortuna property in Ecuador.
The exploration and development company said results included 0.23 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 13 metres (m) from the Kelly Zone (North Wayka) Channel 15.
“The objective (of the Kelly Zone work) is to continue to identify mineralized feeders and to broaden our understanding of the structural controls,” Lucky Minerals (TSX-V:LKY, OTC:LKMNF) CEO Francois Perron said in a statement.

“With this work, the team is continuing to increase the number of surface confirmed mineralized targets,” Perron added.
Lucky Minerals noted that Wayka lies along an elevated ridge that trends northeast with elevations ranging from about 3,600m to 3,700m above sea level and is bound to the east by the El Buitre Porphyry and to the west by the Emma Porphyry.
The company added that current field work at Wayka is focused on surface trenching around the Discovery and Kelly zones and there are another 31 assays pending from the ongoing exploration work.
Lucky Minerals is an exploration and development company targeting large-scale mineral systems in proven districts with the potential to host world-class deposits. Lucky owns a 100% interest in the Fortuna property.
Fortuna comprises 12 contiguous, 550 square kilometres (sq km) exploration concessions and sits in a highly prospective, yet underexplored, gold belt in southern Ecuador.
