At Altintepe, 4,200 metres of drilling at the Kayatepe, Camlik East and Camlik Zones appeared to be money well spent. Stratex said it had calculated an 'in house' estimate of approximately 412,000 ounces of gold and 2.5 million ounces of silver in both oxide and sulphide mineralisation. 328,000 ounces of the gold lies in oxides. The in-house resource estimate used a 0.2 grams per tonne gold cut off, and did not include a historical NI 43-101 inferred resource of 85,565 onces of gold in the Extension Ridge Zone. Teck Cominco showed a gesture of goodwill by waiving the need for additional drilling at the project before Stratex can exercise its option. Teck also said it would not exercise its right to earn-back into the property, but would retain a royalty on any production.

Meanwhile, at Inlice, the picture was a bit more mixed. A revised competent persons report by AC Howe reduced the total resource to 262, 300 ounces of gold, but additional drilling Stratex increased the amount of the resource in the measured and indicated categories to 63% of the total resource.

Stratex confirmed that it was in discussions with local partners who could move both the Inlice and Altintepe projects towards production. Both projects would offer a local company access to two realively low cost oxide gold operations that could move into production fairly quickly.

CEO Dr. Bob Foster said, "We are approaching 1 million oz of defined gold resources with the combined resources of Altintepe (497,687 oz), Inlice (262,300 oz), and Karaagac (156,798 oz). This will be a major milestone for us, but one that we expect to exceed given the exciting developments we recently reported from the Oksut prospect.

“Exploration and drilling at Altintepe have progressed extremely well and, following discussions, Teck Cominco has agreed to waiver further drilling on the basis that the project is unlikely to realise its target resource of at least 2 million oz of gold. Given that it has waived any interest in Inlice, Teck Cominco and a third party now retain only underlying royalties on Altintepe. Consequently, we have now commenced discussions with third parties on the potential development of both projects. In support of this initiative, we also anticipate that SRK Consulting will submit its baseline environmental study shortly”

New gold discovery at Oksut for Stratex
Chip sample results from Oksut included 21 metres grading 2.91 grams per tonne gold and 111 metres grading 0.9 grams per tonne gold. More importantly, Stratex said that the silica zones are structurally and lithologically controlled, drawing geological similarities to other high-sulphidation gold discoveries, including the 35 million ounce Yanacocha Gold Mine in Peru.

"We remain focused on identifying projects with a 2 million ounce Au plus potential. We believe the discovery at Öksüt has the dimensions and grades in oxide to potentially host a resource of this size. The presence of silica replacement of near-horizontal permeable volcanic horizons over a large area and exposed at surface, shows similarities to the world class Yanacocha and Pierina high-sulphidation gold deposits in Peru. We will rapidly move this exciting project to the drill stage." said David Hall, Chairman of Stratex.

Meanwhile at Altintepe, Stratex, recent drilling on the Camlik Zone continued to return wide, low grade oxide gold mineralisation, including 131 metres grading 0.4 grams per tonne gold from surface and 89.5 metres grading 0.6 grams per tonne gold from surface.

"Drilling at Altıntepe continues to add new resources and, given the excellent metallurgical characteristics of the oxide mineralisation and the potential low stripping ratio, the project is advancing extremely well."

Stratex expects to release an "in-house" resource for Kayatepe, Camlik and Camlik East shortly.

Finally, at the Konya Joint Venture Project with Teck Cominco, Stratex confirmed that additional drilling of the Doganbey porphyry project was on the cards, while seven new areas of alteration at the Altunhisar prospect were being "rapidly" advanced towards drill ready status.

Stratex intersects wide zones of oxide gold
Results emanated from the Kayatepe Zone, and included several drill holes returning wide sections of low grade oxide material, including 82.3 metres grading 2.43 grams per tonne in KT-DD-12, 93 metres grading 1.34 grams per tonne in KT-DD-5 and 54.9 metres grading 2.38 grams per tonne in KT-DD-6. The results further confirmed good continuity in the oxide mineralisation at Kayatepe.

Drilling has now moved onto the Camlik Zone, but Stratex confirmed that it expected to see a material increase in the resource estimate at Altintepe, which currently stands at 311,000 ounces using a cut-off grade of 0.4 grams per tonne.

Bob Foster, CEO of Stratex commented:

"We are very encouraged by the potential to define a significant oxide resource at Altintepe. Furthermore, we believe that there is also considerable potential for the discovery of new mineralised zones in the wider licence area and we will be investigating this potential through a fast-tracked programme of drilling, geological mapping and sampling in the coming months. In line with this, drilling has now commenced on the Camlik Zone where we have outlined near-surface oxide gold mineralisation and rock alteration over an area of 400 x 180 metres. This area also lies outside the mineralised zones included in the existing resource estimate."

Stratex can acquire 100% of the Altintepe project from Teck Cominco by completing 2,000 metres of drilling by July 2008 and a total of 5,000 metres by July 2009, subject to a 51% earn-back if Teck Cominco elects to complete 10,000 meters of drilling on the property within 42 months.

Stratex picks up additional exploration ground
The gold and base metals exploration and development company said it had acquired the 75.5 square kilometre Öksüt licence area to consolidate its holding over a new belt of gold mineralisation. Recent sampling of silica ledges at Öksüt returned 25 metres grading 0.93 grams per tonne gold with the highest chip sample returning 1.6 grams per tonne. The silica ledges have been identified over a 3,200 metre by 3,000 metre grid and 33 of 61 rock samples collected returned anomalous gold. Stratex said the area hosted similar mineralisation to its prospects on the Konya Volcanic Belt, and it would be fast tracking sampling to allow for a first pass exploration drilling program as soon as possible.

David J.Hall, Executive Chairman commented:

“Our team in Turkey continues to identify new gold mineralisation targets in what is emerging as a new Miocene metallogenic belt in western and central Turkey. This further gold discovery and subsequent licence acquisition underpins our position as a leading explorer and developer of gold projects in Turkey.

"The early results from Öksüt are very encouraging and we are pushing it forward as a high-priority exploration target. We are confident of further encouraging sampling results and at this stage anticipate commencing an exploration drilling programme in mid-2008.”

Stratex announces new gold discovery at Konya
Stratex said that rock samples taken at Karacaoren had returned up to 1.26 grams per tonne gold, confirming a second zone of porphyry style gold mineralisation within the Konya Project.

Meanwhile drilling at Doganbey, also within the Konya Project, also confirmed the presence of porphyry and epithermal style gold mineralisation. The first two deep drill holes returned wide intersects of low grade gold including 273 metres @ 0.13 grams per tonne gold.

Bob Foster,CEO commented:

"This exciting new discovery at Karacaoren shows the critical need for boot and hammer work in the field. The presence of anomalous gold over the entire length of the holes at Doganbey is also encouraging, especially given the presence of porphyry-style gold mineralisation overprinted by Inlice-type epithermal mineralisation. This is a large mineralised system and our task is to now define the centre of the system where higher gold grades may be present. Confirmation of the presence of porphyry-style mineralisation at Doganbey also underpins our confidence in the potential of the wider volcanic belt."

Stratex intersects 120 metres @ 2.35 g/t gold
Assay results from the Kayatepe prospect on the Altintepe Project returned 120.8 metres grading 2.35 grams per tonne gold including an oxide interval over 45.2 metres grading 4.36 grams per tonne gold. This was the first hole drilled at Kayatepe by Stratex since it optioned the project last year, but it was no fluke, with the second hole drilled returning 70.5 metres grading 2.62 grams per tonne gold including a oxide interval 47 metres over also grading 2.62 grams per tonne gold.

The encouraging drill results didn't stop at Kayatepe either, with the best intersection reported from Camlik East returning 100 metres grading 1.56 grams per tonne gold with an oxide interval of 74.6 metres grading 1.62 grams per tonne. All three results do not represent true widths, but nonetheless, Stratex said the results confirmed the presence of a mineralised zone at the Kayatepe Zone which is not part of the historical NI 43-101 resource estimate.

Executive Chairman David J. Hall said:

"Our drilling programme is generating very encouraging intersections and we are particularly excited about the early drilling returns from the Kayatepe Zone. We are focusing on the easily treatable oxide mineralisation, hence our reporting highlights the oxide intersections. At this stage, the project is more than living up to our expectations and Kayatepe in particular has the potential to add significantly to the existing resource."

Stratex receives excellent drilling results
Highlights from five holes drilled into the Camlik East Zone included 62.6 metres grading 3.08 grams per tonne gold and 98.9 metres grading 1.37 grams per tonne. The results were inline with previous drilling at Camlik East, where historical results defined a NI 43-101 compliant indicated resources of 1.2 million tonnes grading 1.87 grams per tonne and an inferred resources of 3.16 million tonnes grading 1.52 grams per tonne.

Stratex is awaiting results on a further eight holes drilled at Camlik East Zone, and also said it would conduct additional metallurgical testing to follow up on previous studies which returned gold recoveries of 96%.

Executive Chairman, David Hall said:

"These are excellent results and a great start to our 2008 programme. The near-surface oxide nature of the Camlik East Zone and the surface high grade gold of the Kayatepe Zone, also part of the Altintepe prospect, will allow rapid development of this project once we establish the full scale of the resources on the property. With continuing activity at Altintepe and Inlice and the developing district-scale Konya play, the Company looks forward to a very busy 2008. We firmly believe that our quality portfolio positions Stratex to take advantage of a dynamic marketplace demonstrated by the recent record highs of the gold price."

Kairos Fund increases stake in Stratex Fri, 23 Nov 2007 09:39:00 +0000 Stratex finds more gold at Altintepe
Teck Cominco is best known for its zinc operations, but in fact carries considerable gold exploration and production assets on its books.

Stratex is conducting an extensive exploration program at Altintepe with the ambition of proving up additional resources to add to the current NI 43-101 compliant resource of 311,000 ounces of gold. Highlights from the new high grade outcropping included 12.98 grams per tonne gold over 14 metres and 6.63 grams per tonne gold over 33.5 metres returned from a grab and channel sampling program.

Additional results from the Orta zone, another recent discovery returned values 'up to' 0.29 grams per tonne gold over 5 metres and zinc contents up to 2% from sampling.

Finally, Stratex said it also conducted additional exploration of the Sinan Zone, and believed it may have identified widths of 50-60 metres which will be followed up with sampling programs shortly.

Stratex CEO Bob Foster said, "These results from Kayatepe exceed our
expectations and show near-surface good grade potential in the oxide part of the zone, all favourable for the potential economics of the project. It should also be noted that material from this zone has not previously been incorporated into any resource estimate. Furthermore, the adit access at Camlik has allowed us to get an excellent representative sample that shows gold contents higher thanrecorded from the previous drilling in this zone, which suffered from poor recoveries in the very hard ground. We see this as another area where Stratex will add to the current resource. Confirmation that the Orta Zone is gold-bearing and identification of yet another substantial zone, the Sinan Zone, all reinforce our original assessment that this property has considerably more potential than previously realised."

Stratex intersects 23m @ 4.9 g/t Gold
Stratex added that its joint venture partner, Tech Cominco, had completed approximately 9,000 line kilometres of airborne geophysics over the Konya Volcanic Belt to identify additional anomalies.

Stratex CEO Dr Bob Foster said, 'The down-dip limit of the mineralised zone has now been defined in terms of potential open pit exploitation and our focus has moved to the wider and higher-grade near-surface resource within the Gap Zone, where we plan a further three or four holes before finalising the update of the resource estimate. The ongoing drilling has achieved the objective of increasing the confidence levels of the in situ gold resource. We anticipate that a significant portion of the resource will be re-categorised as indicated and measured and thus will be effectively moved up the value-added chain. This will form a sound basis for future economic modelling.'

Stratex discovers new gold zone at Altintepe
The resource is currently spread across two zones, Extension Ridge and Camlik East. The new discoveries indicate that the mineralisation at Extension Ridge may continue for another 500 metres to the east.

Stratex CEO Bob Foster commented, "We have been rapidly advancing the Altintepe project by detailed geological mapping and rock sampling, and the discovery of new zones underpins the exciting discovery potential of the project. Our aim is to expand on the current resource of 311,543 oz Au and build a resource base that has the potential to be developed through to production. Altintepe is
another high-potential gold target in Turkey that strengthens our portfolio and project-generation success rate."

Stratex intercepts copper-porphyry

Stratex CEO Bob Foster said, "Muratdere is a large porphyry system and we are encouraged by the consistency of the copper-gold-molybdenum mineralisation intersected to date. The results of this initial drill programme will assist our understanding of the nature and distribution of the contained mineralisation and, in turn, enable us to integrate all the geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to plan our future drilling strategy."

Stratex commences drilling on Doganbey
A 1000 metre reconnaissance drilling program will be targeting the Doganbey prospect; an 800 metre by 600 metre zone that Stratex and its joint venture partner Tech Cominco believe could host a porphyry style gold mineralisation. Previous exploration at Doganbey has already confirmed the presence of porphyry style gold mineralisation at surface. Doganbey is one of many prospects the company has identified, and lies within the Konya Volcanic Belt.

"The Inlice discovery remains an important focus for us in the Konya Volcanic Belt, where we are continuing with the scoping study on the Ana Zone resource as well as drilling the recently identified targets in the surrounding area. However, the Doganbey drilling is an exciting new development for the Company and is only the first step in the detailed investigation of a number of high-priority targets in
the wider Konya belt where we own 35 licences totalling 410 sq km."
Commented Stratex CEO Bob Foster. "Importantly, the Doganbey drilling marks the first step in the joint exploration programme by Stratex and Teck Cominco in the Konya area, which is financed by Teck Cominco as part of its first-phase commitment to fund US$1M of exploration expenditures by June 30, 2008. We anticipate that the proposed
airborne geophysical survey of the Konya belt will be undertaken during October this year and should contribute substantially to the identification and prioritisation of new targets to be brought to the drill stage in 2008."

Stratex International says considerable exploration upside at Inlice
Notable points of progress at Inlice included the initiation of additional metallurgical testing and an environmental baseline study as part of a scoping study. Stratex also completed additional resource drilling in the "gap" zone that lies between the main strikes of Ana East and Anna West. Results included 2.8 grams per tonne over 32.9 metres. Finally, the company also identified several new targets including the Merkez Zone, a valley running parallel to the Ana West Zone, and also south-east extensions to the Ana East zones.

"Stratex continues to advance the Inlice project in line with its strategy of generating resources that ultimately can be exploited.
Commencement of the EBS in tandem with further metallurgical test-work
represents a major step towards this goal. Our main aim, however, is to define whether the gold system, comprising the Ana Zone and the wider Inlice licence area, has a two million ounce potential budget" commented CEO Bob Foster, "Our ongoing drilling programme has further defined the structural and thermal controls of the mineralisation in the Gap Zone. Integration of this enhanced understanding with the exciting new ground geophysical data has emphasised the considerable exploration upside and provided specific targets for the next stage of our exploration drilling."

Stratex’s cheery interims
The company took its flagship Inlice gold prospect to a JORC compliant initial mineral resource estimate of 372,971 ounces of gold. Teck Cominco extended its 51% earn in interest at Inlice to cover the rest of the company’s interests in the Konya Volcanic Belt – where it will fast track exploration and identification of drill targets. Teck also optioned the company’s Altintepe project where a large mineralised zone has been identified - and the company started drilling at it Muratdere prospect

Stratex's operating losses were £529,796 (compared to £227,077 for the same period in 2006) and the company raised £7 million following an oversubscribed new share placing in June 2007.

Stratex CEO Bob Foster said, "This has been a great six months for Stratex as it continues to develop its extensive portfolio of exploration assets in Turkey. A gold resource has been declared at our flagship Inlice discovery and we have secured Teck Cominco's agreement to fund the next steps of the Konya exploration programme; we have optioned the exciting Altintepe gold project from Teck Cominco; we have commenced drilling the Muratdere porphyry prospect; and we have secured substantial funding that will allow us to fast-track exploration of the other licence areas in our excellent portfolio."

Stratex and Teck to fast-track Konya gold programme
The programme of work will include an airborne magnetic survey over the entire Konya Belt, and will be designed to advance early-stage targets to the drilling stage. A 1000 metre scout drill programme at the Doganbey porphyry gold prospect will be included.

The agreement excludes the Company's flagship Inlice gold project - for which Teck already has the right to earn-in to 51%.

David Hall, Executive Chairman of Stratex, said:

"Teck Cominco's interest in earning-in on the early-stage exploration of the Konya Volcanic Belt demonstrates that it shares our belief in the very real potential for making further discoveries in this exciting new gold play. The level of expenditure is a considerable multiple on the amount invested by Stratex to define this high potential area. The proposed airborne geophysical survey over such an extensive area is generally beyond the capabilities of most Exploration and Development (E&D) companies.”]]>

Stratex says £7 million fundraising oversubscribed
It came as no surprise to observers that a large part of the capital will be used to fast track the company’s flagship projects at Inlice and Altintepe. Stratex also said it would fast track first phase drilling at the Muratdere porphyry copper-molybdenum-gold project with a five hold drill program.

David Hall, Executive Chairman of Stratex added, "We are delighted to have exceeded our initial #5 million target and are pleased to welcome new high-quality institutional investors to our shareholder base. The response from investors is a huge endorsement of our team's ability to deliver value. In a short time period, the Company has achieved a great deal: it has made a new generative discovery and, more importantly, it has recognized a potential new gold belt. These funds will allow Stratex to develop its portfolio by adding additional resources to its current 841,313 oz Au gold resource base as well as advance its extensive portfolio."

All of the directors in Stratex participated in the fundraising, which according to the company had to be scaled back after considerable interest from institutional investors.

Stratex defines resource at Karaagac property JORC-compliant at this stage. The resource is also based on the oxide zone only, and it open to the west and south-east.

Stratex now intends to joint venture Karaagac to focus on its priority projects in Turkey.

David Hall, Executive Chairman of Stratex said, "We are delighted with this initial resource figure, which, with our total non-compliant, inferred resource of 684,515 oz Au at Inlice and Altintepe, gives Stratex a resource base of 841,313 oz Au. The sediment-hosted and flat-lying nature of the mineralisation offers the opportunity for further resource definition potentially leading to open pit exploitation. The Board agrees that this project is best developed by seeking a joint venture partner in order to allow Stratex to focus on its priority projects of Inlice/Konya, Altintepe and Muratdere."

Stratex defines resource at Inlice and locates porphyry system nearby
In addition to the Inlice update, Stratex also updated investor on exploration to the north-west where a porphyry style mineralisation has been identified. Stratex said that gold-molybdenum anomalies had been identified in soil samples, and that the company had intersected a porphyry style alteration of fine dark quartz veinlets. Stratex went on to suggest that the porphyry alteration appears to be linked to the high sulphidation Ana Zone at the Inlice project. Stratex intends to initiate drilling on the porphyry target in the near future.

"This resource represents some 97 oz of gold per metre drilled, which is excellent value for one's exploration dollar, but the significance of the definition of a potential porphyry gold centre in addition to this initial resource at Inlice must be emphasised. This means that it is possible that Stratex has identified the source of the
gold-rich fluids that deposited the high-grade mineralisation in the Ana resource area. Kisladag, the newest gold mine to come online in Turkey, is a porphyry gold system and has reserves of five million ounces of gold. This first Merkez drill hole increases the likelihood that Inlice may host both an economic high-sulphidation gold system and porphyry gold mineralisation with as yet unknown grade and tonnage." commented David Hall, Executive Chairman. "The initial resource defined here is clearly only our first step in realising the potential of what could prove to be a new gold district with many similarities to the prolific Maricunga gold belt in Chile, as proposed by Independent Consultant Dr. Richard Sillitoe in November last year."

Stratex options gold project from Teck Cominco

Altintepe has a National Instrument 43-01 resource estimate of 311,543 oz Au using a 0.4 g/t Au cut-off. This based on 79 drill holes over a 8 square kilometre area which identified 10 zones of gold mineralisation. Stratex intend to re-evaluate the geological model, re-define the resource and undertake 5,000m of resource expansion drilling before July 2009 to meet their obligations under the agreement.

David Hall, Executive Chairman added, "This is an exciting project and one that Stratex, with its experienced geological team, can rapidly add value to through its understanding of such systems as recognised by the discovery of the Inlice and Konya gold projects. The ability to add resources to our existing highly prospective portfolio helps cement Stratex's position as a leading exploration and development company in Turkey."

Stratex drills 54.6 meters grading 6.22 grams per tonne gold at Inlice

CEO Bob Foster summarised: "The gold grades in INDD-26 are excellent for this type of high-sulphidation mineralisation but those of INDD-27 are truly exceptional and tend to confirm our interpretation that the Gap actually relates to a zone of significantly enhanced gold concentration. The presence of unusual
highly mineralised breccia material in the drill core from INDD-27, that has not yet been observed anywhere else in the Inlice area, also underpins this interpretation. The potential for discovering similar gold-rich breccia-related bodies under soil cover in the surrounding licence area is very real and we now intend to undertake geophysical surveys to assist in identifying any such bodies prior to drilling. In the meantime, we are continuing with our programme of resource drilling and these new high-grade gold intersections will contribute significantly to the forthcoming independent resource estimation that we have commissioned.

"Our early drilling of the Discovery Zone, although not yielding particularly high gold assays from the first hole, INDD-21, has nevertheless demonstrated the robustness and gold-bearing potential of other silica zones within the Inlice licence area."
