Power Metal Resources PLC (LON:POW) said on Friday that work to enlarge the Alamo Gold Project in Arizona, USA is set to start next month and that laboratory results indicate its 70%-owned Kisinka project in Congo contains sizeable copper and cobalt values.

Power Metal also announced that drilling of a second hole has started in Botswana at the Molopo Farms Complex, which is prospective for nickel and PGMs, and that a drilling contract has been signed for the Haneti nickel project in Tanzania.

Ncondezi Energy Limited (LON:NCCL) reached agreement with partner China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) for a US$1.8mln programme of accelerated development works at their power project in Mozambique.

Thor Mining PLC (LON:THR) said it has executed an agreement to acquire an interest in the Alford East copper-gold project, in South Australia.

Panther Metals PLC (LON:PALM) is acquiring the Merolia gold project near Laverton, Western Australia, from White Cliff Minerals Ltd for cash and shares.

Trident Royalties PLC (LON:TRR) completed its acquisition of the Spring Hill royalty from Thor Mining PLC (LON:THR).

Castillo Copper Ltd (ASX:CCZ) (LON:CCZ) (FRA:7OR) has observed broad copper oxide and sulphide mineralisation at shallow depths in the first seven drill holes at Big One Deposit within the core Mt Oxide Project in northwest Queensland.
