It was another busy week for the mining industry

Eurasia Mining PLC (LON:EUA) expects to upgrade its reserves at the alluvial platinum mine at West Kytlim in Russia following recent drilling and mining.

A new calculation for the total contained platinum for the Kluchiki Area, where mining started in August, has now been submitted for approval.

Landore Resources Limited (LON:LND) has unearthed a new gold deposit at the Junior Lake project, in Ontario, Canada.

The company, in a statement, said that exploration drilling located one kilometre to the east of the BAM gold deposit encountered “significant” gold mineralisation with grades up to 26.2 grams per tonne over a 1.02-metre section.

It highlighted that the discovery is on-strike with BAM and that the gold structure has now been confirmed across 3 kilometres.

Erris Resources PLC (LON:ERIS) has announced the latest round of drilling results from the company’s Abbeytown project in Ireland.

The market was cheered by more high-grade intersections in one of the world’s premier zinc mining destinations, in results that Erris’s chief operating officer Aiden Lavelle called “excellent.”

The numbers do look good and include 15.63% zinc plus lead and just over 90 grams per tonne silver over 4.1 metres, and 15.57% zinc and lead, 1.9% copper and 51.5 grams silver over 2 metres.

Bacanora Lithium PLC (LON:BCN) said initial lithium fluoride (LiF) samples have been produced at the Zinnwald lithium project.

The samples have been produced as part of the feasibility study (FS). Bacanora said the initial sample quality is in excess of 99% purity, which is indicative of its potential to be battery-grade lithium.

The samples will be distributed to potential end users for evaluation test work.

Several prospecting licences in Botswana that were due to expire at the end of 2018 have been renewed, Metal Tiger PLC (LON:MTR) said.

The copper/silver licences are held by the joint venture (JV) company in which Metal Tiger has a 30% stake and include PL 190/2008, which holds the T3 copper project, the T3 expansion project and the A4 dome.

Oriole Resources PLC (LON:ORR) has reported encouraging gold intercepts from a drill programme at Dalafin in Senegal.

The campaign was carried out by partner IAMGOLD and identified broad zones of anomalous gold mineralisation as well as higher grade samples that could indicate a feeder zone at depth.

Capital Drilling Ltd (LON:CAPD) told investors it has landed an important new contract extension, keeping its rigs active at Centamin’s Sukari gold mine, in Egypt, until at least 2023.

It presently has a fleet of 14 rigs at Sukari where it provides blast hole and grade control drilling services for Centamin’s open pit operation. Capital drilling has been active at the mine since 2005.

Capital Drilling has also been awarded a delineation drilling contract with Canadian-based Sama Resources Inc. at its Yepleu property in Côte d'Ivoire.

The FTSE Fledgling-listed drilling solutions companynoted that the contract is its first in the country following its strategic expansion into West Africa where the company now has 31 rigs, representing a third of its rig fleet.

Xtract Resources PLC (LON:XTR) has reported a 6.35% quarter-on-quarter increase in alluvial mining contractor gold production at the Manica Concession in Mozambique for the three months to 30 September 2018.

The AIM All-Share-listed firm said total alluvial mining contractor gold production at Manica in the period was 56.34Kg, equivalent to approximately 1,811 ounces.

AfriTin Mining Ltd (LON:ATM) has completed the foundations for the pilot processing plant at the Uis tin mine in Namibia.

Construction of the processing plant has started with the phase 1 pilot operation to handle 500,000 tonnes of ore a year producing around 60 tonnes of tin concentrate per month.

The Connemara Mining Company PLC (LON:CON) has announced that further drilling is in progress at its StonePark zinc project in Limerick, Ireland.

Connemara, which as a 23.44% interest in the joint venture (JV) that holds the licence for the asset, said its JV partner, Group Eleven, plans to drill 1,500 to 2,000 metres in the latest phase of the drilling programme.

Canadian copper miner Rambler Metal and Mining PLC (LON:RMM, CVE:RAB) saw a sharp increase in the production of saleable copper in the third quarter.

In all, 1,266 tonnes of saleable copper were recovered to concentrate in the quarter, a 29% increase over the preceding quarter and a 26% increase over the same quarter of 2017.

Greatland Gold PLC (LON:GGP) said the first round of sampling results from its Scallywag target has reinforced the potential of copper, silver and gold mineralisation.

The Scallywag target is located within the company’s wholly-owned Havieron licence at the Paterson project in Western Australia.

Arc Minerals LTD (LON:ARCM) is shortly to commence a comprehensive high resolution airborne geophysical survey over its Zamsort copper-cobalt project in Zambia.

The survey will cover around 1,000 square kilometres hosting several targets as well as the Kalaba copper-cobalt prospect where Arc is currently conducting an 11,000-metre drilling programme.

Scotgold Resources Limited (LON:SGZ) said the decision notice relating to its planning application for the Cononish Gold and Silver Project was received by its subsidiary, SGZ Cononish Ltd from the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Planning Authority (NPA) on 19 October.

The company said it is now focused on ensuring that the planning obligations and conditions contained in the notice that are required prior to the commencement of Cononish are met as soon as possible.

Red Rock Resources PLC has resolved the legal issues relating to the Migori gold project in South West Kenya.

An agreement has been signed on behalf of the Kenyan Attorney General and Red Rock under the terms of which both parties have agreed that the case is to be marked as withdrawn with no order as to costs.

Kavango Resources PLC (LON:KAV) has acquired three new prospecting licences in Botswana.

The acquisition follows completion of Phase 1 of the company’s airborne electromagnetic survey over the Kalahari Suture Zone project, which is prospective for nickel, copper and platinum group metals.
