Some of the major news-driven share price changes at 3.45pm.

RISERS

Sportech plc (LON:SPO), up 11% to 78.75p. Announced today that it has agreed to sell The Football Pools to Burlywood Capital LLP for £97.25mln.

M Winkworth Plc (LON:WINK), up 8% to 113.5p. Told investors that revenues, profit before tax and cash generated from operations had all increased in the first half of the year.

JD Sports Fashion PLC (LON:JD., up 6% to 1401p. Posted another “record” half-year result as group profit before tax and exceptional items increased by a further 66%.

 

FALLERS

Corero Network Security PLC (LON:CNS), down 32% to 13.65p. Told investors that demand for its SmartWall TDS cyber defence service is through the roof, but conceded that revenue for the year would fall below market expectations.

Futura Medical plc. (LON:FUM), down 9% to 67p. The share price rose initially this morning after it announced problems with its CSD500 condom had been solved, before it fell back.

Ophir Energy PLC (LON:OPHR), down 6% to 71p. Said in an operational update that commercial production has started at its Kerendan field gas project in Indonesia.

RISERS

Alba Mineral Resources PLC (LON:ALBA), up 13% to 0.29p. Doriemus PLC, which shares an interest in the Brockham licence in the Weald basin with Alba and others, reported some very healthy results from an independent assessment of the project.

China New Energy Limited (LON:CNEL), up 10% to 1.5p. The company has recently entered into an agreement to negotiate the acquisition of a specific project in Africa.

Keywords Studios PLC (LON:KWS), up 6% to 417p. Reported a better-than-expected set of interims this morning, with adjusted profit before tax almost trebling.

 

FALLERS

Ocado Group PLC (LON:OCDO), down 14% to 276.5p. Company announced retail sales growth of over 13% but warned it is facing continued margin pressures due to increased competition from the likes of Amazon etc.

Steppe Cement Ltd (LON:STCM), down 11% to 21p. Released its interims today and reported a loss after tax of US$1.5mln. Consolidated turnover in US$ was also significantly down despite sales increasing slightly.

Thalassa Holdings Limited (LON:THAL), down 9% to 36.5p. Revenues and gross profits both down in the first half of this year compared to the same period in 2015.

Alternative Asset Opportunities PCC Limited (LON:TLI), up 14% to 47.2p. Told investors it is to sell 71 of the company’s 80 policies for US$40mln. 

ATTRAQT Group plc (LON:ATQT), up 10% to 45p. Reported a strong pick-up in sales and said it was pleased with progress after heavy investment.

 

FALLERS

TyraTech, Inc. (LON:TYR), down 22%. Although it saw sales increase in the first half of 2016, said today that revenue and net loss for the year would likely fall below market expectations.

Diamondcorp Plc (LON:DCP), down 15% to 5.75p. Managed to narrow its losses in the six months to June but teething problems during the period hampered production at its Lace diamond mine.
