RISERS

Avesco Group PLC (LON:AVS), up 15%. Media services provider Avesco stormed higher after a bullish trading update.

Polemos PLC (LON:PLMO), up 8.7%. David Steinepreis's holding in the company has risen to 170.5mln shares, equivalent to 11.15% of the voting rights, from 150mln shares.

Sports Direct International PLC (LON:SPD), up 7.3%. The company bought back 40,279 of its own shares at a price of 297.8p per share.

FALLERS

Sirius Minerals PLC (LON:SXX), down 9.1%. Read Sirius making headway with the financing for Yorkshire mine

Morses Club PLC (LON:MCL), down 7.7%. The doorstep lender revealed the gross loan book was at the same level as a year ago.

Alexander Mining PLC (LON:AXM), down 7.4%. The company has appointed Turner Pope Investments as joint broker. Appointing a new broker is often a prelude to a share issue.

RISERS

Sphere Medical Holding PLC (LON:SPHR), up 15%. It's a funny old world, but on Tuesday the company received only a small boost from news of the first sale of its Proxima blood gas monitoring system to a  teaching hospital in Belgium. Today it puts out a routine announcement about when its interims are to be published, and the shares have shot up.

FALLERS

Edenville Energy PLC (LON:EDL), down 30%. The new investor presentation on the web site has not gone down well by the looks of things.

600 Group PLC (LON:SIXH), down 11%. The industrial products maker's full-year results revealed profits were half the level of a year earlier.

Stilo International Plc (LON:STL), down 9.4%. Interims revealed sales and underlying earnings were up 115 year-on-year.
