Not only is it a sorter week, but the diary suggest it fairly quiet for investors too.

Support services group Bunzl Plc (LON:BNZL) isn’t expected to surprise on with its interim results on Tuesday, as key points flagged in a prior pre-close statement.

UBS analyst Rory McKenzie in a note said: “the biggest change to estimates is likely to come from FX, given Bunzl's heavy USD-exposure vs. GBP reporting. We lifted our forecasts by 5-6% from FY'17e.

“Otherwise the key driver will be the run-rate of M&A through H2: after a record year in 2015, 2016 has been slower (c£90m spend by H1 vs. £327m in FY'15 overall) but this does not signal a permanent change in strategy in our view.”

Also on Tuesday will be results from Nostrum Oil & Gas PLC (LON:NOG) which, according to Numis, remains focussed on cost cutting.

Analyst Thomas Martin notes that second quarter revenue was already reported, at 39,232 barrels per day, while the group’s first half revenues guidance has previously been stated as US$160mln, and Numis expects it to be slightly higher than that.

Attention will also be on oil and gas engineer Petrofac which has results too.

Elsewhere, ARM Holdings Plc (LON:ARM) shareholders get together for their AGM ahead of the company’s pending sale.

Takeover talk is likely to be on the agenda again on Wednesday as there’s results from sports betting and online casino group 888 Holdings, which just failed with a joint takeover bid for William Hill alongside Rank Group.

Recruiter Hays plc and Safestore feature on a lightly scheduled Thursday, before and even more sparse Friday.
