In brief

Keliber Oy is a Finnish mining company owned by Finnish private investors and investment companies (ca. 75 %) and the Norwegian Nordic Mining ASA (ca. 25 %).

The company owes its origins to lithium exploration and research carried out by Suomen Mineraali Oy in Central Ostrobothnia in the 1950s and 1960s.

Keliber Oy is engaged in searching for and developing spodumene-rich pegmatite deposits in Central Ostrobothnia. The company has a valid mining licence for a deposit in Ullava (Länttä) and claims and exploration permits on other spodumene-bearing pegmatite deposits in the extensive lithium province of Central Ostrobothnia.

Just a fraction of the over 500 square kilometres of the Central Ostrobothnian lithium province has been explored so far, and it is already clear that there is a significant potential for discovering new lithium deposits.

The company’s long-term goal is to produce 9 000 tonnes of lithium carbonate per year.
