The Restaurant Group plc (the "Company") announces that Allan Leighton, Senior Independent Director will be stepping down from the Board with immediate effect, in order to take up the role of Chairman, Pizza Express.

Graham Clemett, currently Chair of Audit, will become Senior Independent Director and a process to recruit an additional Non-Executive Director has commenced and an announcement will be made in due course.

Debbie Hewitt MBE, Chair commented: "On behalf of the Board, I'd like to thank Allan for his valuable contribution to the Group since he joined in 2018. We wish him well for the future."

Other Disclosures

In accordance with s.430 (2B) of the Companies Act 2006, it is confirmed no payments will be made to Allan Leighton in connection with his stepping down from the Board, other than his usual Non-executive fees paid pro-rata.
