Directorate Change - Chief Financial Officer

Hostelworld, a leading global OTA focused on the hostel market, today announces that TJ Kelly, Chief Financial Officer, is leaving the Group to become Chief Financial Officer of Origin Enterprises plc.

TJ will step down as an Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer by 1 March 2021 at the latest. The Group maintains comprehensive succession plans and conducted a rigorous succession planning exercise during 2020 to identify successors for the Company's senior executives. In line with the Group's succession planning, TJ will be succeeded by Caroline Sherry, Group Financial Controller, who will, in due course, be appointed to the Board of Hostelworld as an Executive Director. The Nomination Committee unanimously approved the selection of Caroline as Chief Financial Officer and recommended her appointment to the Board.

Caroline joined Hostelworld Group in November 2019 as Group Financial Controller and has worked closely with TJ during this time. She joined from Glanbia plc's Performance Nutrition division where she was Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. Prior to this, Caroline held a number of strategic and commercial finance roles at Ulster Bank Group, a subsidiary of NatWest Group. Caroline is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and completed her training in PwC. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Food Science and an MBS (Hons) in eBusiness.

Gary Morrison, Chief Executive Officer, commented: "TJ has been a dedicated and professional colleague, has made a significant contribution to Hostelworld since taking up the role of CFO in 2018 and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with him. He leaves with our very best wishes for the future. I am delighted that Caroline is becoming our new Chief Financial Officer. She has made a huge contribution to the finance team at Hostelworld and brings exceptional experience having worked for global consumer and financial services companies. Caroline will be working closely with TJ over the next number of months to ensure an orderly transition of his role. "
