Alusid Extends Product Range at London Design Festival

Frontier IP, which specialises in the commercialisation of intellectual property, is pleased to note that its portfolio company Alusid Limited ("Alusid") has launched an extension to its SilicaStone® range of sustainable alternatives to traditional stone.

Alusid's SilicaStone® slabs have been used, in collaboration with designers Soft Baroque, to produce finger jointed tables which reference traditional woodworking techniques, demonstrating the strength and adaptability of this pioneering 100% recycled material.  The commission was received from Modern Design Review for the Ace Hotel, as part of the London Design Festival.

Alusid has already won widespread industry recognition for its energy efficient alternative to traditional stone and ceramics for architectural applications. This launch builds on recent first orders for its SilicaStone® tiles, from both the UK and abroad, and demonstrates the flexibility of its recycled materials technology as it approaches the next phase of its commercialisation.

Further details of the launch event are available on the company's website, www.alusid.co.uk
