G+ graphene printing technology gains environmental certification

Directa Plus (AIM: DCTA), a leading producer and supplier of graphene nanoplatelets based products for use in consumer and industrial markets, announces that the Company has secured OEKO-TEX® certification for Directa's proprietary G+ graphene printing paste technology.

Eco Passport by OEKO-TEX® is an independent certification system for chemicals, colourants and auxiliaries used in the textile and leather industry. Operating since 1992 OEKO-TEX® offers testing and certification to companies worldwide.

Using a multistep process, each individual ingredient in G+ printing paste was analysed to determine whether the product meets statutory requirements and textile industry standards, and confirm that no element, nor the final product, is harmful to human health.

The Eco Passport also provides proof that G+ printing paste meets the criteria for ecologically responsible textile and leather manufacture.

Commenting, Giulio Cesareo, Founder and CEO of Directa Plus, said: "Both brands and manufacturers value the Eco Passport as credible proof that materials, dyes, and other elements used textile and leather production are safe for end users and environmentally sustainable.

"The textile vertical is hugely important for Directa Plus, and work is being undertaken to continuously develop and improve the graphene printing technologies that enhance the performance of fabrics and garments.

"We are dedicated as a company to safe, sustainable, and environmentally friendly products and production processes - this certification will help demonstrate that commitment, to consumers, investors, and industrial partners."

About Directa Plus

Our focus is principally on the two sectors in which we have strong commercial advantage through developed and launched products and a technological lead: environmental (based on our Grafysorber® product) and textiles (based on our G+ products).  In addition, we will continue to pursue opportunities in elastomers and composites (including tyres and asphalt), also using our G+ products.  All our products are hypoallergenic, non-toxic and sustainably produced.
