Senior Appointments

 

Bradda Head Holdings Ltd (AIM:BHL), the North America-focused lithium development group, is pleased to announce three key senior appointments.

·    Adam Hawkins appointed as ESG Officer.

·    Don Hains P. Geo., MBA, appointed as Technical Consultant.

·    Dr. Yatendra Sharma BSc Hons, MSc, PhD, CChem, MRACI, MAusIMM, appointed as a Lithium Processing Consultant.

·    All three appointments take place with immediate effect.

 

Adam Hawkins is an expert in the Environmental, Social & Governance ("ESG") arena and his role will be to ensure that all environmental, social and governance matters are conducted as sustainably as possible, in line with environmental regulations. Adam will also help the Company engage constructively with local communities to engender support to develop and sustain Bradda Head's operations.

Don Hains is an industrial minerals exploration and economic geologist with extensive experience in development, use and analysis of industrial minerals properties and materials.  Don has held product research and business development responsibilities with Fiberglas Canada Inc. and Domtar Construction Materials, and has been consulting in the field of industrial minerals markets and economics for more than 40 years.

His experience encompasses most of the industrial minerals and several specialty metals. His experience with lithium projects extends from grass roots exploration to feasibility studies, market and economic analysis, and due diligence reviews of hard rock, brine and sedimentary deposits.    Don is the author of the CIM Best Practice Guidelines for Reporting of Lithium Brine Resources and Reserves and a co-author of the CIM Best Practice Guidelines for Reporting on Industrial Minerals Resources and Reserves.

Yatendra Sharma holds a master's degree in industrial chemistry/metallurgy and a PhD degree in chemical process and electrometallurgy. His PhD thesis was on rechargeable alkaline manganese dioxide batteries, Li ion batteries and battery materials.

Yatendra has more than 47 years' experience at top management levels in various multinational companies in production, R&D and project managements of various mineral projects. Yatendra is also the inventor of 16 battery patents (including Li ion batteries and processing of Li from its ore and electrodes materials) and has several publications in international journals.

Detailed Biographies:

Adam Hawkins

Adam is an expert in the field of social license to operate and will engender the support needed from the community to develop and sustain Bradda Head's operations from early-stage exploration, through permitting, and to closure. He lectures frequently on the subject and has helped clients across the globe develop successful and lasting community partnerships.

Adam started his career as an intern in the United States Senate, later working for political campaigns, as in-house public affairs for Rio Tinto, and a large national law firm, before launching his own practice. Adam has extensive experience working with elected officials and their staff, key federal regulators such as the Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Mining Safety and Health Administration, and Army Corps of Engineers, as well as state regulators throughout the Western and Northern United States. Adam was, until 2020, President of the Board of the American Exploration and Mining Association.

Adam graduated with honours from Thunderbird School of International Business with an MBA and holds a BA/ BS from Arizona State University.

 

Don Hains

Don has held product research and business development responsibilities with Fiberglas Canada Inc. and Domtar Construction Materials, and has been consulting in the field of industrial minerals geology, processing, markets and economics for more than 40 years.

His experience encompasses most of the industrial minerals and several specialty metals, with a special focus on critical metals and minerals such as lithium and rare earths. He has extensive exploration and mineral processing experience with lithium projects, ranging from grass roots exploration through to feasibility studies, market analysis, economic studies and third party due diligence reviews for hard rock, brine and sedimentary deposits in Canada, the United States , South America, Africa, Europe and China.  Don is the author of the CIM Best Practice Guidelines for Reporting of Lithium Brine Resources and Reserves and a co-author of the CIM Best Practice Guidelines for Reporting on Industrial Minerals Resources and Reserves.

Don is a chemist by original training and a member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (#0494), the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (#4175075), the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada, the  Metallurgical Society of AIME and the American Ceramics Society. He is a graduate of Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario (1974) and Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia (1976).

 

Yatendra Sharma

Yatendra previously held a general management position with Mesa Minerals Limited (2002-2009) where he was responsible for successful implementation of projects such as the production of electrolytic manganese dioxide (EMD) and manganese sulphate etc from Pyrolusite ore. He also held a project management position with Galaxy Resources Limited (2009-2012) where he was actively involved in successfully managing projects such as lithium carbonate from Spodumene and brine, and lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles etc.

From 2012 to 2021 Yatendra worked for Australian company Neometals Limited as a Consultant involved in processing Mt Marion Spodumene ore to produce high purity 'battery grade' lithium hydroxide monohydrate and high purity 'battery grade' lithium carbonate using conventional sulphation and causticisation of Li2SO4 technology, and a novel technology ELi (chlorination of Spodumene and electrolysis of LiCl to produce LiOH.H2O). He also developed other technologies for Neometals Limited such as Zeolite from Spodumene leach residue, LTO from TiO2 and LiOH for Li ion batteries, recycling of exhausted Li ion batteries, processing of Li clay from Nevada deposits etc. He was an Advisor to Singapore-based company LiRon LiB Power Limited for the production of LTO based Li ion batteries and Sodium based batteries (2020-2021). Yatendra was also an Advisor to Mn Energy Limited (2018-2021), a WA company owning Mn ore, to process Mn ore to produce high purity MnSO4 for Li ion cathode materials. He also advised Tata Group India (2018-2020), Covalent Lithium Limited (2019), PEM (Li Clay Project) on various Li ion batteries and Li processing projects, etc.

Yatendra is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, and a competent person as defined by the 2004 JORC Code, having more than five-year experience relevant to the style of mineral processing described in the Report.

Bradda Head Holdings Ltd is a North America-focused lithium development group. The Company currently has interests in a variety of lithium projects, the most advanced of which are in Central and Western Arizona: the Burro Creek project (Burro Creek East Project, and the Burro Creek West Project) and the Wikieup Project.

The Burro Creek East Project has an estimated an Inferred Mineral Resource (JORC) of 42.6 Mt of lithium bearing clays at an average grade of 818 ppm of lithium for 185,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE). The Burro Creek East Project also has additional exploration potential for extensions to the current model of between 50,000 to 300,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent.

The Group intends to continue to develop its three phase one projects in Arizona, whilst endeavouring to unlock value at its other prospective pegmatite and brine assets in Arizona, Nevada and Pennsylvania.
