AGM to present at technical conferences in Germany and US

ahead of investor conference in New York

Applied Graphene Materials, the producer of specialty graphene materials, announces that the Company is this week speaking at both the European Coating Symposium ("ECS") in Heidelberg, Germany, on 8 to 11 September, as well as the Coatings Trends & Technologies conference event in Chicago, USA, on 10 to 11 September.

Lynn Chikosha, Product Development Manager, and Chris Herron, Senior Application Scientist, will each present a paper to the ECS conference on "Improving Coating Performance with Graphene Nano-Platelets" and "Printing: Delivering Composite Performance with Graphene Nano-Platelets", respectively.

John Willhite, Business Development Manager, is also due to present a paper on "A Novel, Non-Metal Graphene Nano Platelet Hybrid Anti-Corrosive System for Tomorrows Protective Coatings" at the Coatings Trends & Technologies event.

AGM's attendance at both events displays the Company's continued push for ever-deeper customer engagement in the coatings and composites sectors and reflects their continued focus on developing their dispersion and application IP, making disruptive technology accessible.

The Company's conference participation comes ahead of their upcoming attendance at the Fall Investor Summit. Formerly known as the Microcap Conference, the summit will take place on 16 to 17 September in New York, where AGM's management will speak to around 2,000 delegates at the investor conference.

Notes to Editors

Applied Graphene Materials

Applied Graphene Materials works in partnership with its customers using its knowledge and expertise to provide bespoke graphene dispersions and formats to deliver enhancements and benefits for a wide range of applications. The Group's strategy is to target commercial applications in three core markets: coatings, composites and functional materials.

The Group has developed proprietary bottom-up processes which are capable of producing high purity graphene nanoplatelets using a continuous process. The manufacturing process is based on sustainable, readily available raw materials and therefore does not rely on the supply of graphite, unlike a number of other graphene production techniques. Applied Graphene Materials owns the intellectual property and know-how behind this process.

Applied Graphene Materials was founded by Professor Karl Coleman in 2010 with its operations and processes based on technology that he initially developed at Durham University.  The Group was admitted to AIM in November 2013, raising £11 million, and is based at the Wilton Site on Teesside. In January 2016 the Group raised £8.5m to support its ongoing activities and in October 2017 the Group raised a further £9.8m.
