Traditional Healthcare Protocol for Cannabis

In 2014, healthcare entrepreneurs Prad Sekar and Kash Qureshi were asked to help educate physicians across Canada on how best to prescribe medical cannabis to a rapidly growing patient population. At a time where social stigma, limited medical research and the overall complexity of prescribing cannabis as a medicine all converged, Sekar and Qureshi knew that they would have to bring traditional healthcare protocols to the cannabis industry before the cannabis industry could properly integrate with healthcare.

The Industry’s First CDS Tool

After developing the industry’s first Clinical Decision Support tool to help guide physicians when prescribing medical cannabis, the company gained traction in international markets which eventually led to the acquisition of a large cannabis evaluation center group in the US which has since grown to become the largest multi-state cannabis evaluation and education group in the country.

Prad has become one of the leading voices in how to advance healthcare practices through objective data and predictive analytics.

Kash Qureshi - Chief Operating Officer

As co-founder of CB2 Insights, Kash brings more than 20 years of extensive operational experience in the healthcare, medical cannabis and technology space. An ardent cost-efficiency executive, Kash merges international sales and business development skills with improving cashflow and operational proficiencies to drive overall profitability.

Dan Thompson - Chief Marketing Officer

Dan brings over 15 years of marketing experience with high-growth public and private technology companies. Dan built and led the marketing divisions for early-stage companies in retail, travel and payment technology. Dan graduated from Michigan State University with degrees in marketing and communications.

Carmelo Marrelli - Chief Financial Officer

Carmello (Carm) is the principal of Marrelli Support Services Inc. In addition, Carm is affiliated with DSA Corporate Services Inc., a firm providing corporate secretarial and regulatory filing services to the junior capital market in Canada. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto.
