Meteoric Resources listed on ASX in 2004 and has recently build a portfolio of highly prospective cobalt projects in East and West Ontario, Canada. The Company is focussed upon systematically working through target generation across its entire cobalt portfolio and initial drilling is scheduled to commence at the Mulligan Project in July 2018. The Meteoric management team includes experts in the field with previous project specific experience.


Meteoric completed its maiden 26-hole diamond drill program for 4,700m at the Juruena Gold Project in 2019, which primarily targeted the high-grade zones at the Dona Maria, Querosene and Crentes resources in addition to testing other known prospects including Mauro, Tomate and Uilliam.

Novo Astro is located 30km east of Juruena and covers more than 15km2 containing many Garimpeiro workings from the 1980s, several of which are still being actively mined today.

MEI holds a portfolio of seven cobalt projects in Ontario, Canada – six located in Eastern Ontario, an area historically known for silver and cobalt productions and one in West Ontario, targeting high grade cobalt-copper-gold mineralisation.

In Australia the Company holds interests in the following projects:

Webb Diamond JV, Western Australia
Ownership: 18% MEI / 82% Geocrystal Pty Ltd (*MEI 13% of E80/4506)  

The Webb Diamond JV covers an area of 400km2 and is focussed on the evaluation of a large kimberlite field comprising 280 bulls-eye magnetic targets. 23% of these targets have been drill tested with 51 kimberlite bodies identified.

Warrego North IOCG Project, Northern Territory

The Warrego North Project is located approximately 20km north west of the historical high-grade Warrego copper-gold mine, in the western part of the Tennant Creek Mineral Field.

Warrego was the largest deposit mined in the area producing 1.3Moz Au and 90,000 tonnes of copper historically.

Chalice Gold Mines Limited (ASX:CHN) can earn up to 70% interest in the Project by sole funding $800,000.

Patrick Burke
Executive Chairman

Mr Burke holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Western Australia. He has extensive legal and corporate advisory experience and over the last 15 years has acted as a Director for a large number of ASX, NASDAQ and AIM listed companies.

His legal expertise is in corporate, commercial and securities law in particular capital raisings and mergers and acquisitions. His corporate advisory experience includes identification and assessment of acquisition targets, strategic advice, deal structuring and pricing, funding, due diligence and execution.

He is currently a Non-Executive Director of ASX listed Vanadium Resources Limited, Triton Minerals Limited, Koppar Resources Limited and Mandrake Resources Limited.

Dr Andrew Tunks
Managing Director

Dr Tunks is a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientist holding a B.Sc. (Hons.) from Monash and a Ph.D from the University of Tasmania. Dr Tunks has held numerous senior executive positions in a range of small to large resource companies including Auroch Minerals, A-Cap Resources, IMAGOLD Corporation and Abosso Goldfields.

In his role as CEO and director of A-Cap Resources Dr. Tunks led the discovery of the 10th largest uranium resource in the world and managed four separate capital raisings totalling AUD$45 million. Through his 30-year career within the resource and academic sectors Dr. Tunks has developed a unique skill set including technical, promotional and corporate.

Paul Kitto
Non-Executive Technical Director

Dr Kitto has over thirty years’ experience working within the mining industry having served on a number of ASX Boards and holding senior level management positions around the world. Dr Kitto is currently Technical Director for Tietto Minerals (ASX:TIE).

Most recently Dr Kitto was Exploration Manager, Africa for Newcrest Mining Ltd and prior to that, was Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of ASX listed Ampella Mining Ltd from 2008 until 2014, when Ampella was acquired by LSE/TSX listed Centamin PLC.

Throughout his career, Dr Kitto has led or been part of exploration teams that have discovered numerous multi‐million ounce gold deposits in Africa, Australia and Papua New Guinea. Dr Kitto has extensive experience associated with a wide range of deposit types, predominantly associated with gold and base metal deposits.

Shastri Ramnath
Technical Director

Throughout her 15 years in the exploration and mining industry, Shastri has worked on projects in Canada, the United States (Nevada), South America (Chile, Ecuador, and Peru), and Africa (Guinea, Burkina Faso, Zambia, Namibia, and South Africa).

Her experience includes working with Falconbridge Limited in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the Exploration and Resource Group of FNX Mining (now KGHM International) in Sudbury, Ontario, and as the President, CEO and Director of Bridgeport Ventures (junior mining exploration company publically traded on the TSX). In addition, Shastri is currently on the board of directors of Canadian Silver Hunter, a junior exploration company that focuses on silver exploration in Canada.

Shastri holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Geological Sciences from the University of Manitoba, a M.Sc. in Exploration Geology from Rhodes University, South Africa and an MBA from Athabasca University.

Peter Sheehan
Operations Manager

Mr Sheehan is a geologist holding a B.Sc. (Hons) from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.

Mr Sheehan has over 20 years’ experience at senior level within the natural resources sphere with roles including Managing Director, Exploration and In Country Manager, Chief Geologist and Senior Mine Geologist. Previously he has held roles at BHP Billiton, IAMGOLD and Placer Dome Asia Pacific.

Matthew Foy
Company Secretary

Matthew is a professional company secretary and active member of the WA State Governance Council of the Governance Institute Australia (GIA). He spent four years at the ASX facilitating the listing and compliance of companies and possesses core competencies in publicly listed company secretarial, operational and governance disciplines. His working knowledge of ASIC and ASX reporting and document drafting skills ensure a solid base to make a valued contribution to Boards.
