Copper tailings project excites on a number of fronts, says Jubilee Platinum boss Chief executive of Jubilee Platinum (LON:JLP) Leon Coetzer walks us through the rationale behind securing  a surface copper tailings project in Australia.
He said it met a number of the firm's criteria. Fiirstly, that it was a surface project, secondly that it required metallurgical expertise to unlock the copper, that the capital entry level was quite low and that the the timeline between starting investing and earning from the property  was quite short.
"We found this project, which excited us on a number of fronts," he said.

Growth in 2016 'massive' says CentralNic's Crawford Ben Crawford, chief executive of CentralNic Group plc (LON:CNIC)  says the 2016 numbers demonstrate the company's exposure to nine million top level domain names and its 32% market share.

Recent acquisitions have given the company access to emerging markets new to the internet, and both the retail and enterprise space interested in the company's domains which include .site, .press and .website. 

Crawford says that 'all' competitors should be watching CentralNic as the business shakes things up and does things in a different way.

LoopUp boss pleased with first set of results since joining AIM Co-chief executive of fast-growing remote meetings specialist LoopUp Group PLC (LON:LOOP) Steve Flavell said he was ‘very pleased’ with the group’s first set of results, since listing on AIM last August.

Underlying earnings (EBITDA) in 2016 clocked in at £2.1mln, up from £1mln the year before, on revenue that rose 34% to £13.6mln from £10.1mln.2

“We are very pleased with our first set of results as a public company,” he said.

Significant improvement in 2016 profitability for Communisis Andy Blundell, chief executive of Communisis PLC (LON:CMS), tells Proactive that a rigorous focus on being the UK market leader for transactional communication, and expansion of  brand deployment business overseas helped boost profit in 2016.

It's an achievement for the integrated marketing services company which from having no business overseas seven years ago now has 26% of its group turnover outside the UK.

Blundell is also particularly proud about the company's £9mln reduction in net debt over the period.

Europa Oil & Gas hails farmout deal with Cairn Energy where size of prize is potential 1bn barrels Hugh Mackay, of Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings), has hailed the firm's  farm-out agreement with Cairn Energy PLC (LON:CNE) on an early stage project (licensing option 16/19) off the coast of Ireland.
It means 3D seismic can start this summer, with potentially a prospect inventory mapped out by the end of 2018, he says.
"It's very positive that we are able to push ahead with that and get seismic done now and the size of the prize potentially in 16/19  is a billion barrels," he tells Proactive.

Thor Mining CEO says medium-sized company status achievable Thor Mining PLC's (LON:THR) Mick Billing tells Proactive's Sarah Lowther he can't keep the smile off his face after hitting 51 metres of mineralisation in the second of two holes drilled at the tungsten deposit in Nevada.

The chief executive of the exploration and development company says the objective is "taking a couple of quite tidy projects into production over the next two to three years, and with that we think we can become a medium sized company hopefully relatively quickly."

Deal brings constant cash flow - Northern Petroleum CEO Bush Keith Bush, chief executive of Northern Petroleum Plc (LON:NOP) says  taking control of six shut-in production wells near its Rainbow assets will grow its production base in Canada which is the "core area of asset growth."

Bush says the deal is evidence of what the oil producer can do in the current environment and crucially brings "constant cash flow into the company."
