Tyratech, Inc's Bruno Jactel discusses Vamousse and the group’s very good first half Tyratech boss Bruno Jactel says it was a very good first half thanks to the group’s increasingly popular Vamousse head lice treatment shampoo.
Higher distribution in the US and UK markets was the initial driver for Vamousse, he told Proactive Investors Stocktube.
Jactel also highlights that a key selling point is that Vamousse is one the only products that works against pesticide resistant ‘super lice’.
“Overall I think our strategy of launching these products in retail and also meeting customer demands for non-pesticide products have been pretty successful from the perspective of the first half of the year,” he added.
Tyratech boss also discusses the roll out in France, inclusion in the NHS minor ailments scheme, and looked ahead to the group’s priorities in the coming months.

Strong business growth heads off competitors, says TyraTech, Inc. chief Life sciences group TyraTech Inc (LON:TYR) says it has shown strong growth against market competitors, an increased product line and an expanding distributor network ahead of first half results.
“All of these factors combined to make us the leading brand of head lice treatment,” says chief executive Bruno Jactel.
"These trends are anticipated to continue throughout the second half."
But it hasn’t all been smooth sailing, explains Jactel, especially with the referendum.
“Of course it came as a surprise for us, we had not planned for the Brexit vote, so we have been challenged by changes in exchange rates between the pound and the dollar, so that’s hurting our UK sales when we transfer them into dollars,” he says.
“But that doesn’t affect our underlying business in the UK. When we look at that in pounds it shows strong growth and market gain,” adds Jactel.
He says the group has had to adapt to changes in policies with big retail distributors, particularly in the US.
“We’ve been able to adapt well,” he says.
“So far what we are seeing, besides the little glitch, is a strong and healthy business.”
