The three-year extension (with a further two-year option) has been signed with a subsidiary of the recently re-named Endeavour Drinks Group, formerly known as Woolworths Liquor Group (ASX:WOW).

The agreement provides for a stepped reduction in Gage Roads’ minimum contract brewing commitments from 1 million case equivalents in FY17 to 850,000 case equivalents in FY19.

This will allow Gage Roads to prioritise marketing and distribution of its higher-margin proprietary craft beers, while maintaining overall production volumes.

In spite of decreasing volumes in mainstream beer sales in Australia, the higher-value craft beer sector has been growing year on year.

The sales of Gage Roads’ craft beers have increased more than 86% in the past 12 months and now account for 28% of year-to-date total sales, compared with just 13% in FY15.

By 2021, the company expects proprietary craft beer brands to make up 70% of its total sales.

Gage Roads ended the March 2016 quarter with a cash balance of $1.8 million.

'Quality and attention to detail are crucial' for building Gusbourne into a luxury brand Charlie Holland, chief executive of Gusbourne PLC (LON:SHLP) tells Proactive: ''We have a very uncompromising approach to everything we do''.

''We don't cut corners and every part of our business is very much focused on quality ... we're trying to build a luxury brand so quality and attention to detail are very, very crucial to that''.

''We don't buy or sell grapes from anywhere else - we only make wines from the grapes grown on our own vineyards. This is important as it gives us complete control over the quality of what we do but also allows us to produce wines that have a sense of place and a sense of authenticity''.

Zak Mir sees support for Diageo shares and could rally Chartist Zak Mir sees support for Diageo plc (LON:DGE) and he reckons the price can rally.

In a Tip TV segment for Proactive Investors the technical analyst says the support for the shares comes in the ‘£20 zone’.

“So basically, as this chart stands, you would probably be a buyer on a technical basis towards the £19.80 level.

“I’d like to see a break back above the 200-day average, so £20.15 is my buy signal and then I’d be looking for a rally over the next month or so back towards the 50-day average of £21.24.”

Mir adds however that having a stop loss, he says below about £19.50, would be critical.

City Pub EIS Fund chief says pubs are ‘reigniting themselves’ Clive Watson, the chief executive of The City Pub EIS Fund, is upbeat about the future of the pub industry.

Watson discusses the rate of closure of some pubs in the UK and the founders’ previous experience, which includes the Capital Pub Company which was sold to Greene King for £93mln in 2011, ten years after its creation.

He says the group buys three sorts of assets: going concerns, pubs that need a ‘repositioning’ and pubs that need a complete revamp and change of direction.

Waterlogic eyeing developing markets with new technology Waterlogic (LON:WTL) is the leader in the "point of use" water cooler market, with a technology that is set to replace the old business model of chunky water bottles delivered by a man in a van. It is probably the only vertically integrated operator in the water cooler business, manufacturing its products in its fully-owned plant in China and then selling the product to its subsidiaries or distributors round the world, but predominantly (80%) Europe and the USA. Developing markets are set to become a major target following the development of the company's Firewall technology, which uses ultra-violet technology to purify at the point at which the water is dispensed.
