Amur Minerals share price ‘unlikely to drop below 6p’, says Zak Mir Leading technical analyst Zak Mir reckons the Amur Minerals Corporation (LON:AMC) share price is unlikely to drop below 6p and expects it to head towards 10p over the coming weeks.

“It’s interesting from a technical perspective in that we’ve had a rebound last week off the 200-day moving average at 6.28p,” explains Mir in the latest Proactive Investors Bulletin Board.

“That’s a decent technical signal and underlines the idea that there’s a rising trend channel and that it’s unlikely shares will fall much below the 6p.

As for what the future holds, Mir adds: “While we’re above the 200-day moving line we’re looking for at least a partial retest of the former 50-day moving average area at 10.65p over the next one to two months.”

Amur Minerals boss hails 'substantial' new nickel estimates Amur Minerals PLC (LON:AMC) has potentially 30% more mineable nickel at one of its main targets at Kun-Manie in Russia than previously estimated, a new study has indicated.

CEO Robin Young tells Proactive: ''Part of it is that the PEA and earlier estimates didn't include the drill results from the year 2015. We updated those numbers in early 2016 and those numbers had not worked their way through the system so what we're seeing is a reflection of the additional resources that we defined in 2015.''

Young adds: ''The exciting thing about this is that we haven't even taken into consideration potential upgrades that we anticipate will be derived at our other three deposits''.

MKF assays point to resource upgrade says Amur's CEO Robin Young Amur Minerals (LON:AMC) has received the assay results for its 2016 drilling programme at the Maly Kurumkon/Flangovy (MKF) deposit in Russia. CEO Robin Young tells Proactive: ''What these results indicate is that our high grade zone we defined within the MKF area is certainly  900 metres longer than we had indicated previously so with the new results in hand we're going to be able to update the resource estimate.''
Young adds: ''We will have a new resource estimate which really focuses on the underground potential of the operation''.

Nickel One Resources Inc excited about new Finnish purchase Nickel One Resources Inc (CVE:NNN) is a Canada-based exploration company with two nickel discoveries: the Tyko nickel/copper/platinum group elements (PGE) property in in North-western Ontario and the other is in Finland. As president and chief executive officer Vance Loeber explains to Proactive Investors, the Finnish asset has just been purchased – on Tuesday, in fact.

“We’ve just completed our due diligence on the project and we’re going to Helsinki on Thursday,” Loeber revealed in some truly hot-off-the-presses news.

The Nickel One team is very excited about the project.

“First of all, the geology is world class. It’s a very under-explored country; very few juniors [early stage mining companies] in there,” Loeber noted.

He also praised Finnish mining law, which is very strict, but very clear.

“It’s been voted the number one mining jurisdiction on the planet,” Loeber said.

The Finnish property has already had just over US$10mln spent on it, Loeber revealed. The previous owners viewed it as a bulk tonnage project, but Nickel One plans to re-engineer the existing data, reducing the amount it will extract by focusing on the higher grade material, though it will still be targeting around 12mln tonnes, probably at “somewhere in the neighbourhood of 1.8/1.9 grams [per tonne]”.

The Canadian company also plans to do some more exploration before drilling and hopefully boost the size of the asset and boost the grade.

As Loeber points out, the experienced management team has form when it comes to this sort of thing; junior miner followers might remember Loeber and company chairman Abraham Drost from their time with Sandspring Resources, which successfully developed the Toroparu gold deposit in British Guyana to almost 10mln ounces.

“To put it simply, my guys have found mines; they’ve financed mines; they’ve built mines and most importantly, they’ve sold mines,” Loeber said of his “world class team”.

As for the Tyko property in Ontario, the company has two deposits there but has not yet done enough drilling to assign tonnage estimates to it, “but we’ve got mining-width ore grade intercepts on the level of approximately 10 to 12 metres of over 1% nickel”, Loeber informed Proactive.

There’s also copper and PGEs in there, all near surface, and the infrastructure is all that a mining company could want.

Finally, Loeber gives his view on nickel prices, which have come off a multi-year low, and notes that nickel supplies “are actually in deficit for the first time in the last six years”.

The important thing is, according to Loeber, is that there are customers out there “that are hungry for the kind of ore we are developing”.

Amur Minerals boss “very happy” with progress towards definitive feasibility We caught up with Amur Minerals Corporation (LON:AMC) chief executive Robin Young a few days after the Far East Russia based mine developer announced a new tie up with Jinchuan, China’s largest nickel company.

As well as giving insights to the Jinchuan arrangements, and talking through the significance of the deal, Young also gave us the highlights of what has been an important phase of work for Amur as it pushes towards a Definitive Feasibility Study for the project.

“We’re very happy with the progress we’ve made,” he said.

“It is eliminating some of the options, which is good, and it is also opening the doors to additional considerations – one such is and offtake agreement, which is a possibility.”

Young added: “We have four different tasks that we tackled this year … and this work will become a part of the DFS.”

Amur Minerals is one for the watchlist says Zak Mir After a year-long bear market for the junior share Amur Minerals Corporation (LON:AMC) is now one for the watchlist according to technical analyst Zak Mir, though he says there’s still a lot of work for the share to do.

Amur, at 2.49p today, is down about 80% from around 12p a year ago and the Russia focussed mine developer is presently working on ways to take the group’s Kun Manie project forward.

Mir, in a Tip TV segment for Proactive Investors, says technically minded traders ought to watch for Amur to move back above the 200-day moving average, which is presently around the 4.7p level.

Amur Minerals Corporation's boss expects nickel rally to continue The recent rise in the nickel price is set to continue and long–term forecasts suggest it may recover by at least another 50%, Robin Young, Amur Minerals’ chief executive, told Proactive.
That would bolster the huge Kun-Manie nickel project in Far East Russia, where Amur is currently working on a definitive feasibility study that should be completed by the end of next year.
A letter of intent has just been signed to explore the possibility of sharing facilities with IG Copper, a US-owned group that also operates in the region.
IGC would make an ideal partner for Amur, added Young.

Amur Minerals Corporation boss confident on Kun-Manie drilling Robin Young, chief executive of Amur Minerals Corporation (LON:AMC), says completion of 20 metallurgical drill holes three months ahead of schedule is good news for the definitive feasibility study (DFS) at the Kun-Manie nickel project in far east Russia.

That study is earmarked to be completed at the end of December 2017, he told Proactive's Sarah Lowther.

It comes as the firm is ahead at its drill programme at the Maly Kurumkon/Flangovy (MKF)  part of the large property there. 2,100 metres of the current MKF 2,500 metre length is now considered to be completely drilled for resource and reserve determination.

Young graphically says that's the equivalent of the distance  between Buckingham Palace and the Royal Courts of Justice in the Strand, London.

Amur Minerals looking at underground production at Kun-Manie Robin Young, chief executive of Amur Minerals Corporation (LON:AMC), says a drilling programme ahead of schedule, and higher grades being found at the nickel/copper prospect is encouraging the company to switch from an open pit mining project and look “closer and closer at underground production which will produce higher grades in the order of .7 and .9%.”

Amur is having ongoing 'good' discussions with three nickel hungry nations Japan, South Korea and China.  Young says there “could be opportunities for construction, engineering and potential funding scenarios as well as Russia and other sources.”

The completion of the Kun-Manie definitive feasibility study (DFS) by the end of December 2017 remains the company’s primary objective.

Latest data could extend Kun-Manie mine life by 18 months, says Amur CEO Amur Minerals Corporation’s (LON:AMC) chief executive, Robin Young, says the company may be able to increase the mine life of its Kun-Manie nickel/ copper prospect by 18 months after in-fill drilling tests showed the high grade area extends further than previously thought.

“We’re very encouraged that this is just an add-on to the project,” says Young, adding that “just doing some simple maths, we may have added 18 months of reserve to this.”

He tells Proactive Investors that the extension of the high grade area and longer mine life presents the firm, and investors, with “much more of an upside potential.”

Young says that the drill programme is a month ahead of schedule and will likely finish towards the end of September although he added that Amur is going to “continue turning the drills as long as [it] possibly can.”

Amur Minerals drilling, networking, advancing along DFS route Young says the 5 month drilling programme is planned out but the designing stage has already begun. "We have 107 million tonnes of measured and indicated resource which are substantial enough for us to make production decisions.  That is why we are moving ahead with the DFS now" he says.

Young was speaking to Proactive Investors from Moscow where he is meeting with key financial intsitutions based out of South Korea, one of the largest nickel consumer markets in the world.

Amur Minerals Corporation’s chief hails “significant” resource upgrade at Kun Manie Robin Young, chief executive of Amur Minerals Corporation’s (LON:AMC), tells Proactive Tuesday’s independent resource study by SRK Consulting is “really significant” for the company.

The study on its Kun-Manie nickel project in Far East Russia estimates the project now contains just short of one million tonnes equivalent overall (958,000), with the pure nickel content rising to 723,000 tonnes from 650,600.

Young says the increase in resources should lead to raise in the reserve estimates, which will give the company “good project funding discussions after the DFS is completed,” as the greater the reserves, “the more competitive the terms will be for the company in obtaining financing”.
