BT share price plunge represents a ‘bottom-fishing’ opportunity Technical analyst Zak Mir reckons the recent plunge in the BT Group (LON:BT.A) represents a good entry point for investors to get their hands on the shares.

“So far we’ve bounced off of the December support line around the £3 level. It’s got to be a bottom-fishing opportunity and hopefully all the bad news is [already] in the price,” Mir explains in the latest Proactive Investors Bulletin Board segment.

“RSI 22 out of 100, so extremely oversold as well. On a technical basis, you’d be nibbling into the shares at these prices.”

Zak Mir says there’s not much prospect for a rally in BT Group shares It was not a good Autumn for BT Group Plc (LON:BT.A), and technical analyst Zak Mir doesn’t see much chance of improvement for the telecoms stock.

“The drift from the best levels, this time last year towards 500p, [there was] a triple top on the daily chart, but we’re drifting now towards the floor of this triangle formation near 340p … that might offer a buy opportunity but as yet we are still in that drift mode,” Mir said in a Tip TV segment for Proactive Investors.

“Only breaking 380p would be a momentum trigger for the long [trade] at this stage.”

BATM's latest order opens the door for others The bio-medical division of BATM Advanced Communications Ltd (LON:BVC) has received an order from a customer for a hazardous waste unit.
The order is from a leading manufacturer of animal vaccines, and chief executive officer Zvi Marom tells Proactive Investors that is the second order from this particular customer for its ISS – that’s Integrated Steriliser and Shredder – technology.
Marom said the customer was very pleased with the first ISS unit, and the latest sale opens the door for the company to sell ISS units to other pharmaceutical companies.
“The contract was for approximately 1.4, 1.5 million dollars,” the BATM chief executive revealed.
“The first stage, which starts immediately, is about half of it, then a year after, as the fab [fabrication facility] is built up, we get the other half.”
In Marom’s view, the ISS technology has many unique features that make it applicable in several sectors, not least because of its cost-saving properties, and now the pharmaceutical industry is waking up to its usefulness.
“There is no competition at the moment, and we believe that in the agri [agricultural] field, it will be used as well. We have been running trials in the last year, and we believe that we will start to get orders very soon,” Marom said.

BATM boss Zvi Marom highlights victory for hotly contested new business BATM Advanced Communications (LON:BVC) was the preferred choice in a very competitive selection process as it landed a deal with a major high speed network provider, explains chief executive Zvi Marom.

The BATM boss notes that the initial contract will be worth between US$1.5-2.5mln, though he says it can be extended and there is scope for further revenues.

“We believe that in due course the network will be up and running, somewhere early next year, and they might have some more demand,” he added.

BT technicals suggest it’s a ‘buy’ King of Charts Zak Mir tells Proactive that telecoms giant BT Group (LON:BT.A) is showing signs of recovery, with technical analysis suggesting that the time is right to buy into the company.

Mir says that the potential enforced split of its Openreach division is what has led to the share price sliding by more than 20% so far this year.

Speaking exclusively to Proactive though, he’s confident that there is now some real momentum behind this stock.

“[Shares have] been sliding for months, basically since the end of last year, from £5 to £3.60 and, with the higher lows in place and the higher highs, [this looks like] quite a favourable chart.”

“The obvious target here would be towards £4.20 to £4.40,” Mir concludes.

Vodafone is “amazingly dull” but a rally is possible says Zak Mir “It is amazingly dull.” TIP TV’s Zak Mir perfectly sums up what many investors think about Vodafone Plc.

Mir, in a segment for Proactive Investors, highlights that Vodafone shares have “basically been sideways for months” and any traders still bothering to pay attention are waiting for a break-out.

That said, the technical analyst reckons telecoms share (priced today at 224.3p) has the potential to rally up to around 245p once there it marks a close above the 227p level.

“As you can see from the chart there’s a rising trend channel, a mildly rising trend channel, since the end of June. The only excitement there I suppose was the post Brexit vote dip, which was a dip to buy into,” he says.

“So, if pushed, one would probably say still the shares are a buy on a dip, rather than anything else.

“There’s nothing negative about it. But it looks like dead money compared to the market.”
