ANGLE PLC opens up potential route to market for Parsortix platform Andrew Newland, chief executive of ANGLE PLC (LON:AGL), discusses with Proactive their significant new collaboration with healthcare giant Abbott Laboratories.

The two will be working on a metastatic breast cancer study.

Abbott will provide its proprietary PathVysion HER-2 DNA FISH Probe kits for ANGLE's ANG-002 US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) study for FISH (fluorescence in situ hybridization) analysis of circulating tumour cells (CTCs) in the form of a research grant.

FISH analysis, which is a form of investigation of the cancer cells used with solid tissue biopsy to help select treatment, is one of the exploratory end-points for ANGLE's FDA study in metastatic breast cancer

Eckoh PLC's move into chatbot market 'an evolution of their products' Nik Philpot, chief executive of Eckoh PLC (LON:ECK), caught up with Proactive to discuss the firm's interims for the six months to September 30.

The secure payments specialist swung to a first-half profit as growth in its US operations boosted revenue.

The company posted profit before tax of £1.5mln for the period compared to a loss of £0.2mln in the same period a year ago.

The US secure business won seven contracts in the first half worth a total value of US$5.1mln, compared to three contracts last year worth US$2.7mln.

Stobart Group sees good, strong performance from operation divisions in first half Stobart Group Ltd's (LON:STOB) Warwick Brady and Richard Laycock discuss the firm's interim results for the six months to the end of August 2017.

Profits jumped by more than 650% in the period, largely thanks to the partial disposal of its stake in Eddie Stobart Logistics PLC (LON:ESL).

The infrastructure and support services group sold a stake in the recently-floated haulier back in the spring, netting it a tidy profit of £123.9mln.

Group underlying profits totalled £122.2mln (H1 16/17: £16.2mln) on revenues which almost doubled to £124.6mln (H1 16/17: £65.3mln).

As a result of the strong performance, Stobart has hiked its dividend by 50% to 4.5p.

Eckoh making great progress on push into US Nik Philpot, chief executive of Eckoh PLC (LON:ECK) spoke to Proactive on the back of their trading update for the 6 months to the end of September 2017.

UK trading continues to be solid with a similar revenue performance to the first half of last year and a strong pipeline of deals in the second half.

On the other side of the pond, the company’s US push is going well, with seven contract wins worth US$5.1mln secured during the half year, up from three wins worth US$2.7mln the year before.

ANGLE to offer a full liquid biopsy 'sample to answer' solution following Axela acquisition Andrew Newland, chief executive of ANGLE PLC (LON:AGL) (OTCQX:ANPCY) managed to find a quiet corner at Gatwick Airport, just minutes before flying out to Europe's leading CTC conference in Rhodes, to discuss their decision to acquire some assets from a Canadian company with intellectual property that complements ANGLE’s Parsortix liquid biopsy platform.

ANGLE is paying C$6.16mln, or roughly £3.7mln, for the assets.

Eight of the Axela team will be moving on to ANGLE’s payroll.

The Axela system will complement Parsortix by providing an analysis element to ANGLE’s offering, enabling the UK company to capture a greater proportion of the liquid biopsy value chain.

Rentokil’s good news ‘already priced in’, says Zak Mir Technical analyst Zak Mir thinks the recent positive news flow from Rentokil Initial PLC (LON:RTO) is already priced into the shares and isn’t sure there is much to be gained by investing in the pest control firm right now.

“At least on a technical basis, much of the good news is in the price,” explains Mir in the latest Proactive Investors Bulletin Board.

“[We’ve had] a bearish divergence in the RSI (Relative Strength Index) window since February and the share price struggling to hold above the £2.50 level.

“At this stage, support is coming towards £2.35 which is an uptrend line from last June. Anything below that though would threaten the uptrend that we’ve seen over the last year and a half.”

Rise in parcels market to benefit Royal Mail, says Wilson King's Richard Hunter ''Royal Mail PLC (LON:RMG), which fell on the day of its update and the subsequent trading day as well, continues to be a fairly simple story in as much as the letters and cards market is pretty much in terminal decline.''

Royal Mail share price slide still not finished The Royal Mail PLC (LON:RMG) share price has shed more than 20% of its value in recent months and technical analyst Zak Mir thinks there’s still a little way for it to go before it hits the bottom.

“The shares have basically rolled over since the referendum in the summer, a break in the moving average in October and then heading down towards the lows of last year around the £4.10 area,” Mir says in the latest Proactive Investors Bulletin Board segment.

“There’s the risk of further declines here while we’re below £4.40 which was the former support in December and that could be the floor of a falling trend channel from May last year as low as £3.60.”
